Glenn did 3 AMAZING albums with Dario Mollo under the band name of Voodoo Hill. You NEED to check out the 3 albums. They are heavy and melodic with excellent singing from Glenn and crushing guitars and they criminally are never spoken about. The albums are called: Voodoo Hill (2000), Wild Seed of Mother Earth (2004) and Waterfall (2015).
@jonhoward180 Жыл бұрын
I'd like to get hold of these cds but, like a lot of these (somewhat) obscure artists, their cds are often unavailable or cost a fortune on Ebay. At first glanceVoodoo Hill stuff is $30+ 2nd hand. Call me tight, but I feel I'm getting ripped off at those kind of prices.

Hey Pete, thanks for covering BCC, really appreciate it. I've been lucky enough to see them live twice and they were simply sensational. Along with Rival Sons they are currently my favourite band. It was interesting to see how you ranked them. My order is quite different, but I literally love all four albums so this has been tough, but here goes:- 1. BCC IV 2. II 3. Afterglow 4. Debut. 👍 👍an extra thumps up for your animal/wildlife comments!

The very first time I ever heard Glenn Hughes was when I bought the album Burn. I've been a fan of his work ever since. He is absolutely phenomenal as a singer, and great as a bassist. It's crazy to realise he's edging closer to 70, despite his obvious addictions back in the 1970s and 1980s, he's really bounced back and sounds BETTER than he ever did in his earlier years. BCC is just incredible and one of the few modern rock bands that actually ROCKS! Great show, Pete! I can't rank these albums, I love them all!
@rpaustex4 жыл бұрын
Damn Pete, thank you again! I never know anything anymore since radio died. Now I'm buying albums again thanks to your site! I've bought old Scorpions, B.O.C, Accept. Gotta check these guys out now.

Like you Pete, I love the blues/hard rock sound of the 70s and you'd be hard pushed to find a better group of musicians to deliver this style. I think Jason may well be playing with Sammy Hagar & The Circle currently. 1 BCC2 2 Afterglow 3 BCC4 4 BCC1

Each to their own. 2 has always been my favourite. I just think it has the the highest proportion of brilliant songs of the four albums. But as you say, all of them are fantastic.

Hey Pete! Love that band. The most recent record I just listened to today on my route drive back from the Outer Banks. I swear to you the latest record they bought riff tapes from Jimmy Page and JPJ cuz the latest record is the Zeppelin album that never came. Very Zeppelin-esque BCCIV is a masterpiece along with the debut

Love black country communion, derek sherinian is someone i respect as my teacher and someone who has played on my records. I would so love to see a ranking studio albums of Haken. I think they're doing quite well and since each of their albums has a strong conceptual backing, its pretty interesting to see the albums placements, as the story may affect where certain albums will come in your opion.

Black Country Communion is an incredible band. I love all their records but specially the first one, and my favourite songs are One Last Soul and Sista Jane. It's a must hear band for all the classic hard rock lovers. I also have the good luck of see them in concert in Azkena Rock Festival, Vitoria, Spain, in 2011, and they were great!!

Pete, post Corona, Jason Bonham will go back to touring with The Circle. I saw The Jason Bonham Band Led Zeppelin Experience for Frampton's farewell tour on 9-11-19. They were very good. Both shows had so much sentimentality to them, including the stories shared by Jason about John, and Peter on why he becamse a US citizen after 9-11. I am really going to miss Frampton and his live shows. For Glenn's '16 solo tour, Black Country was terrific live. I am excited for BCC's next tour if it ever happens. I am doubtful, but hope they do quick 25 city type US tour if they can fit it in. I don't see how. Joe is always super busy touring. He makes much more for his tours.

Supergroups are more projects than true bands; almost always destined to dissolve. Egos & individual careers get in the way. I like BCC. I expected it would sound more like Deep Purple than Led Zep. BCCIV in particular sounds like an homage to Zeppelin. Glenn Hughes has moved over to Dead Daisies ( another project ), Jason Bonham is in The Circle,Joe B keeps crankin' out stuff( maybe a little too much) , and Derek is a journeyman keyboardist. All wonderful musicians.If we never get another BCC album,I'm thankful for the 4 we have.

Pete I’m with you. If you don’t know which one to buy, buy them all!! Finally a band you can listen to the whole thing front to back without having to skip songs. To me the last 20yrs it’s been hard to find something you can jam all the way through. Love BCC! I would rank them but I would change it in an hour. I’ll try, let’s go with Afterglow, 2,1,4. Hell I don’t know. Their all #1. I’m gonna cheat
