I think the reason a lot of fans are down on WMD is because they felt like Huff was better than him and the Jets should have kept Huff and used the pick on a bigger need. I feel like Jets fans will compare Huff and WMD for the rest of their careers. I'm not sure long term how it'll play out but last year I think Huff was the better player of the two. He played the run better and was effective as a spy against mobile QBs. I hope WMD has the first to second year improvement that JJ had.

Weve been talking about Quincy Williams since he stepped on the field. Even when jets had one the worst defenses in the league I remember saying "who the hell is the Quincy Williams?" He's had a drive that just pops off the screen. He wants it more.

I think if you keep AVT off the edge, he'll be fine. All of his injuries (except for maybe the tricep) seem like he's being asked to move laterally in a way his body's not really built to do.

I'd switch #1 & #2, since I think Patrick Surtain II is about as good as Sauce Gardner, and Quinnen Williams is about as good as Chris Jones, so "which player's absence would hurt the defense the most" is the tiebreaker. I'm biased a bit, because Gardner is faster, but Sertain moves like Revis, and Revis is my all-time favorite Jet. He looks less dramatic on TV -- he never has to make a split second recovery and knock the ball away because he's already where he's supposed to be. I'd rather have Sauce on MHJ though, if he's everything people say he is.
