Since you asked around 16:45-16:55 for what happens in One Piece, I'll give you a summary. Luffy(protagonist wearing the straw hat) sails the seas to find the One Piece, which is the treasure Gol D. Roger(the first narrator and character shown in OP 1), the King of the Pirates, left in the last island of the Grand Line. Whoever finds the One Piece becomes the next King of the Pirates. Luffy's crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, will gain members throughout the story.

@@LiaLunaMiyano Berserk is only approaching 400 chapters right now (and is going slowly, unfortunately, since its original creator has passed away). One Piece is nearing 1100. Berserk's anime adaptation also doesn't look like it's getting that big of a budget.

There's a reason as to why Japan has been building statues of the one piece crew. It's a huge and beloved series and it's popularity is still skyrocketing. Definitely worth watching/reading. I know the amount of episodes and chapters is intimidating, but it really isn't that hard to catch up and is well worth it.

I never cried during a series or anime or whatsoever. But One Piece made me literally cry and not even because of a character, no, I cried over a bloody ship. You really should watch One Piece. I say, after about the first 100 episodes, it starts to get epic and lasts for 1000 episodes and going on. I get goosebumps.

Opening 11 - Share the World is sung by DBSK/TVXQ, when they were still 5. It’s actually a Korean group, and they were the first Korean group to become really BIG in Japan. You can say they were the best and biggest kpop group, still unmatched for what concerns vocal skills!

knox i am not kidding when i say that one piece has one of the best stories ever told. it is truly top tier. better than most books ive read, other animes, other TV shows (i place one piece just slightly above breaking bad, yes really, its just slightly, chill out) and just everything else in general. the story alone is worth your time but the animation especially later on in the show is just INSANE.

no one knows what the one piece is except the guy who originally came up with the series. also the girl with the giant rack who you pointed out was in the bikini at the outline part around 33:00, her name is Nami, and she is fanservice done right. shes always scantily clad, because she likes to look good, and take advantage of it. also she is a legit badass that could kick my ass, and your ass, at the same time.

the first opening has been repeated a few times, we have the version with the main cast's voice actors singing, the remixed one and the last one was for the 1000th episode so it was there to commemorate the event: they had the exact same scenes from the og animation but with the new crew members, outfits, ship, enemies and fights.

The second to last opening was a remake of the first one in celebration of the 1000th episode, the fact that starts in 4:3 and stretches out to 16:9 gives the idea of how long this masterpiece was aired for.

24:33 Actually, they were a Korean pop group called DBSK. 5 man group then, but a 2 man now. At that time they were insanely popular across Asia, especially Korea and Japan. The song We Are! before that one was a reprise of the version early up. That first version 14:26, was sung by the voice actors of the crew.

One Piece was published in Shounen Jump in 1997. One Piece the anime came out in 1999. A lot of this is music from the late 90s and early 00s. The first song and the one you rave much later about the announcer is by the same exact singer/band. And We Are! is very popular in Japan and has been remade. Plus I'd say most of OP's openings are written/sung by J-pop bands and in newer it's an honor for an artist to be selected to write or sing a One Piece opening with how popular the series has become. It's the second best selling comic of all-time behind Superman.

One piece follows luffy the guy with the straw hat. There are different powers given by these fruits when eaten. He can stretch cause hes made of rubber now. I recommend it highly and its not as long as people think. Episodes are about 10 minutes in the later seasons. Its so good.

@@frederikmunk6751 if you watch the edited version "One Pace" which is basically a fan-edited version of the Anime that essentially cuts out all the drag on animations and super long expositions, you are left with roughly 12 minutes of well-paced episodes each.

Knox, this is a very long show/story. I know you are a busy man. But if you ever have time this is worth it. It has some of the best story telling in any media. The writing by Oda is second to non. It has lifted many up and broken many others hearts. It’s got comedy, horrors, and just absolutely heart breaking scenes. So I have a suggestion. Watch the video “one piece, where to start” by super eyepatch wolf. And thank you for the content.

Fun Fact: Oda (The Writer and Creator of One Piece), wasnt really interested in making females "Hot" on his work, but the Suit People (the Money People) started to tell him that he SHOULD make them Hotter because it Sells More, So... He slowly but surely started making them "Hot", but in a Very Cartoony and Unrealistic Style, mostly because he didnt like the idea so he wanted to troll the Suit People. 13:18 Nah, he punched that guy so fast his RIGHT HAND hit th guy and went back into position that it looked like he shoot something from his left hand cause its so fast he needs to "Aim" the Punch with the left hand.

Eiichiro Oda is the creator of One Piece, and he started publishing the manga in the weekly issue of Shounen Jump, a manga magazine, in 1997. The anime started production in 1999, and both the manga and anime have been continuously produced since their start dates.

Japanese is in general a great language to sing, because it's a syllabic language, consonants are almost always separated by vowels and even if there are two consonats next to each other they create kind of one sound (like "ts"), in addition syllables and words end with vowels (very little exceptions), thanks to that it's very melodical and it's easy to fit the words in the rythm of the music, lyrics doesn't even have to rhyme and song sounds amazing :D

damn, hearing that song about ace, i got goosebump everywhere.. almost cried all over again.. Pre-timeskip really had me crying like a dam.. Merry's funeral, Ace's dead, the flashbacks of each character (Especially, Brook, Chopper, Robin, Nami) Not to mention the Sabaody Kuma Incident.. Dammit..

So the skeleton (who's name is Brook) is actually the crew's musician and has sang a couple of songs in the show. Bink's Sake, which is a pirate classic, and one he wrote himself called New World. I highly recommend checking those out.

There was a man named Gold Roger who became known as King of the Pirates. His legendary treasure became known as the One Piece, and just before he was executed, he told the crowd "If you want my treasure you can have it. I left everything in one place." The main character, Luffy (rhymes with Lucy), is a pirate who ate a cursed fruit (or Devil Fruit) called the Gum-Gum fruit which turned his body to rubber and stole his ability to swim. The series covers his journey to find the One Piece and become the next King of the Pirates.

At 29:48 , the intro with your favorite announcer, there was a time jump in the series. Long story short, they got their butts handed to them, and upon a seperation they all trained for 2 years (which was why Pinocchio/Usopp was so fat in the previous intro haha.) Along with everyone "Leveling Up", the animation and music took a Level Up approach and really pushed in to making it top notch intros for us who had to wait for their return, it was a momentous moment and that intro is still probably the most favored intro to fans.

Oda dominates in his ability to weave the plot through his story, if at any point in the series you think that something does not make sense, you will surely find the answer later, perhaps you will not find it after two or five chapters but perhaps find the two hundred even, but it is this same hunger for answers, which has led us to 1000+.

yes, the second to last op is basically the same as the first op. i think it was celebrating a one piece anniversary or something, showing an updated version of the first op with the entire crew. in the first version, you have the first ship Going Merry and first 5 crew members in their original outfits: Luffy (captain, main character, stretchy body), Zoro (first mate, swordsman), Sanji (chef/kickboxer/always smoking), Usopp (sharpshooter/inventor), and Nami (navigator, staff wielder, orange hair). the other version has their second ship Thousand Sunny and the other 5 crewmembers in their current outfits: Chopper (doctor, transforming reindeer), Robin (scholar/historian, black haired woman that can grow multiple limbs), Franky (shipwright, cyborg), Brooke (musician/skeleton), and Jimbe (helmsman/fishman)

the very first song is repeated a few times in the series. the original, a version sung by the voice actors for the main characters (at that point), a remixed version, and then one for the thousandth episode.

You wanted to know what "One Piece" is about... It's a bit difficult to explain (even after 1000+ chapters and episodes) but I'm going to give it a go: It's about a teenage boy inspired by a great pirate who decides to embark on a journey to find One Piece and become the Pirate King to achieve his "DREAM" (which we still don't know but still follow this series like crazy). I hope I did this series justice. It's a masterpiece written by Eichiro Oda but it's quite a commitment to start this series right now.

thats part of the mystery, we as the audience don't know exactly what one piece is other than it being a treasure. after 1k+ eps we have some clues to what it might be but no definitive answer also for the song "we are" its better to watch it at the same time as the original. if i remember correctly it was in celebration of 1k eps

As I'm up to date with the show it just shows how far luffy and crew has gone, the nostalgia is nuts here man, even tho it's more then 1000 episodes I definitely recommend this anime

My favorite anime!! Never have I seen an anime that gives soo much background story to every character you see. I have been hocked since the first episode and I see the characters and the story grow as I grow as well. I am 30 now and I plan on continuing to see one piece until the end with my brook cosplay :D

This show is so special to me. Seeing how some of the most nostalgic music in my life can still be enjoyed and appreciated by people who don’t know the show makes me happy. Loved the reaction bro. I don’t recommend this show to people just due to the time investment alone. But if you ever feel that itch for adventure it’s quite a ride.
