I see that this album has expressed exactly a real Lisa. Some people complain that the lyrics are meaningless and the music is kind of mixture but I personally think that she did really really well. This genre is her type but not many audiences like it so YG have to make Blackpink's music balance between black and pink features. I'm satisfied and appreciate what she did in this album. Love Lalisa!!!

Yesss! It is her as it is. And now she has space to grow further. Some people wanted her debut to be more “bad-ass” - but she is not that really the mad woman/all hell loose type of performer. if she is not really satisfied with what she has sifted through demos for her to record then she will search through them further but these songs spoken into her and felt connection. She is an executioner, a fine and awesome performer even if her off stage persona is really the opposite. At times, some people just wanted to project something else to her and blame their team for having “bare minimum” like huh?

you can't blame people around the world criticising both of the songs given yg's ability to create powerful tracks in the past. yeap the chorus is catchy but that's about it, there's no cohesion in the instrumental, can't take the lyrics serious in anyway which is okay for a song in this "look at me" direction and Lisa's crazy good choreo wasn't emphasized at all. It almost seems like YG rushed it and has no idea what direction to go for when creating a solo for lisa(even though they've been preparing it for a long time). Nonetheless, Lisa stage presence is still god like even in this mediocre song. Just wanna put it out there I'm a blink and lisa stan as well.

I don't know why they want Lisa to have a song with deep, tear-jerking music when she isn't about that life. That wasn't the route she was taking. She was introducing herself and what she's been wanting to do. LALISA and MONEY is the kind of music that is her style. Sick of K-Pop stans thinking you're less just because your music don't have deep lyrics when they have been bopping to some of the music now with catchy beats but no literal meaning. At least with LALISA and MONEY, if you're not blinded by hate, you can find the meaning of the lyrics.

Many of them don’t know American slang and they say money lyrics it doesn’t make sense because the translation is literal . When she say I just made a hundred bands they get confused and they don’t understand when she said bread that it’s a slang for money . The entire song confuses them lol

I know Lisa's songs might not meet your expectation but she already said, this is her. She loves to have fun music so she can dance through it. She loves dancing and all blinks know bout that. Your bias is Rose so I completely understand why you like rose because she's focused on music production but Lisa's more focused on stage, performance and choreography. I have to write something here because some might not know her truly self but I love watching your reaction. You gave me another perspective of how to listen the music as a song writer and music producer. Love it man!

Lisa is not just a rapper or singer or dancer, she is performer and no one can do that like her.I dont know why people need that deep song or hard rap or rap faster because if you create one song and make people enjoy to listen it, it’s complete. If you watched the Netflix documentary, this is Lisa. If she did anything other than Lalisa, which is all about self-love and having confidence in yourself and everything you do, it would have been inauthentic. Like Jennie said, she's the most constant one in the group, and she was born for this. Lisa is a performer through and through and one of the best to ever do it. While I love what Rosé did in expressing her vulnerability and questioning whether she likes being a pop star in both the documentary and On The Ground, you cannot expect the same from Lisa. Lisa's always known this is what she wanted to do. She's always just delivered as a performer and has the best time doing it. She never dwells on any struggles and loves to stay positive. It's only suitable that her solo works are a celebration and good dance tracks as she loves dancing more than anything.

I don’t think Knox really means he wants Lalisa to show a more personal side of her. I think he wants to see her push her boundaries in terms of her artistic skills. She has had other lyrically challenging raps in other BP songs and Knox, as a lover of lyrical rap, wants to see her level up in that lane. He’s not wrong in that she and YG decided on a safer route. Her songs are bangers and are going to get their streams for sure. He just wants to see her challenge herself a little more with the rap lyrics. That’s all. It’s an honest opinion and one I understand as well,

I think Lalisa is the most "Lisa" you can get. That's the Lisa she wants to showcase to the world. Big attitude. Loudest in the room. Versatile like a chameleon. I don't think you necessarily have to show your vulnerability to be "raw". You can show your personality like Lisa did with Lalisa.

I don’t get why people wanted Lisa’s solo to be somewhat similar to Rose’s where she talked about how she came up instead she chose the fun route and she said that she wanted Blinks to have fun when listening to her solo. She already expressed the sides of Lisa that we don’t normally see in Blackpink MVs within Lalisa. Also Money is very reminiscent to some of Rihanna’s music to which Lisa had said that Rihanna is someone she looks up to along with Nicki Minaj so I don’t get why people are so upset and disappointed but it is what it is.

In fact the song Lalisa represents the current Lisa, from the visual, lyrics and outfits . Many Koreans hated her for a time and said he didn't deserve to be an idol. I love her not just her apparent but her kindness and humble. Her personality is so down to earth. I will support her no matter how much people hate her. This girl is amazing :) i love that i lisa dare to being herself not pretended to be other. She is not that type of sweet girl. Respect your opinion and always appreciate your constructive criticism but I honestly think Lisa is the epitome of Blackpink and majority of the 'Black' in Blackpink is Lisa. It's her style and it's her. Her first solo should be about her showing her true self and she did. She said it herself, these songs are very much her and Money is her style. Same goes to Rose and Jennie, we got to see them in their own solos and just because their style happen to be different than the usual Blackpink, why are people expecting Lisa to go into a direction that isn't her? People wanting Lisa to be different than Blackpink when she literally carries the concept of Blackpink is just smh... To me, if she wants to experiment other styles of music and go on another direction, it should be on her next album. In her first album, I still think showing who she is the way she wants to be known for is more meaningful as a musician, but this is just my opinion. Haha some of you may not agree.

You can have swag without being materialistic. This song in particular is all about materialism. The problem here isn't the style of the music. The problem is the lyrics. Btw bro, she herself said she wanted to show a different side of her in her title trcak, she always raps in basically almost every BP song, and she usually uses some girly, girl crush clothes, so thats why in her title track she sang a lot showing that she can sing, and she uses a lot of sexy clothes and other stuffs she never used before and she brought the thai concept in her title track, Now Money is a pure hiphop a full rap song, if I'm not mistaken, she once said she can't rap fast?? The reasons why Lisa can't rap fast is the texture of het voice. It's not thin. And even when you hear her talk in korean or english, she also can't talk fast 'cause that's just the texture of her voice. unlike jennie who's voice is more clear and thin, you'll hear the words clearly and she can talk fast 'cause the words would not get tangled up.

I think what so many of the Kpop stans aren't realizing is that a song like this is obviously meant to try to get Lisa into the international market and not just seen as a "Kpop Idol." Not a big fan of this style of music, not a Kpop mega fan but I like Blackpink and Lisa is my favorite so I have a bias even if it isn't my style of music. However it is kind of sad to see how many just bitch when it's not the usual Kpop song. It's like people forget that artists try to do and show what they like, it's their art. Sure there's a symbiotic relationship with the fans, but the attitude of some Kpop stans is so entitled and demanding.

This! I understand fans have expectation, but they can be so demanding to the point that their idol should serve everything they want. It’s really annoying. As for Lisa’s solo, honestly her genre is not my usual type of genre, but since I give it a chance, now it’s kinda my go-to song while driving lol. This is her type of music, this is what she wants for her debut and it’s fine. We can see more of her in the future, it won’t end here. And if anyone feels that her taste doesn’t suit their taste, they can just move on. No one force them to stay anyway 🤷🏻♀️

Many people and "fans" are complaining on Lisa's debut album, but honestly if you cant genuinely appreciate a person's hard work, then just dont claim yourself to be a fan of any idol at all. Lisa herself already said that she didn't want to have the typical sweet or bubbly concept, because she wants her album to represent THE REAL HER. People dont realize that Lisa's album personally means a lot to her, since she was able to incoporate her ideas like how she brought along her roots, her blackpink members, and thailand culture on her lalisa song. Genuine music isn't all about emotional teary-eyes lyrics or heartfelt rhythms and tones, genuine music is what artists perceive to be genuine to themselves. Whether its a rap, or not. Because it is an artists work, not the audience. What you hear on Lisa's album is THE REAL HER. She released a debut album that represents her, and not everyone else's expectation for her. She even said it herself that she doesnt care about the rankings, as long as her real fans will enjoy the music that she in part, created. This is why Bretman Rock and Jessi, who both of them dont like fake representation and pretentiousness, love and stans Lisa Manoban. Because her duality as a sweet humble yet fun and energetic person off cam and her serious, mysterious and consistent professional side is the real her.

I think this Solo was so much hyped and each person wanted something different from her debut. I think Lalisa is very good showcasing how versatile Lisa is, using a chorus safe and catchy but playing with many changes through the song like BP usually does. I don't understand what's wrong with that. The unique problem for me was the dancing part, the MV doesn't show her talent. She is the best female dancer in Kpop and I can't saw it. Many people like Money more, saying that should be the title track. In this I am in the same point as you, Money is a good trendy rap song with great production but totally safe. I think this solo debut is a great introduction to her solo career. The problem is... when YG let her (and the other girls) have a comeback with something meety like an EP (4-5 songs)? Probably in 2 or 3 years. With luck by the end of the year we have a BP comeback and next year they release Jisoo's debut and Jennie's comeback. Pd: Ozuna (reggaeton singer) say today that he's gonna collab with Blackpink (is rumored that will be only Lisa), Megan Stallion and DJ Snake in the production.

I hate that their full album only consist of 8 songs. i hate that YG delays everything when its abt BP. i know that's their strategy to build the fans hype but at this point i feel bad for the pinks. they already in their 5th year but the songs they get are so little. its no fair and waste of the pinks amazing talents :(

I understand when pp said they expected more on Lisa solo, i mean it's Lisa, the straight A, so it's obvious when pp expected her to rap more, sing more, dance harder, more storytelling lyrics etc, and i respect that. But for me, LALISA and Money did the best job, they may or may not be everyone taste, but they describe Lisa so well, like i can imagine Lisa dacing and vibing to them and being completely confident with "say lilasa love me" or "keep on falling for me, I love the way it feels", it's the beauty of confidence, of life style, of her personalities, it's her. I really like the bank account number bar, "Check that money making bank account number"~ equal digits in the money and the account number. Also the very next bar "that's that shiz that's never getting bounced on ya" I see it as a cool little double, bounce as in bounce in the track and her delivery but also, bounce as in the cheques never bounces cuz she's got so much money" I personally think this was a perfect B-side, experimental, showcasing her rap skills. Lalisa was meant for the charts but money shows Lisa's skills as an MC better (in my opinion). Appreciate the reactions and breakdowns my guy, keep it up! Whatever expectations and impressions you had from Rosé's solo, don't put that on Lisa. While I like the vulnerability that Rosé showcased, Lisa isn't Rosé. She's always has been about having fun and enjoying where life takes her. While I'd love to hear some deep things from her, I also love what she has offered right now. Lisa will have her time to evolve and offer other sounds from her, let's just enjoy what she has right now.

Lisa is Lisa she's into hype and fun that's her genre. Rosé on the other hand is Otg and Gone was her kind of music. Every member has their own taste of music. Lisa can have it all if she choose tp but she choose this type because this is her music this is her genre this is what she really is. I always find it interesting what you have to say, that's why I like watching your reactions. Actually her solo seems more like an introduction to Lisa, it's really just her saying "This is me, this is what I can do and this is the kind of music I want to share with you". While she's amazing in their group music, she's barely able to really showcase herself but just in these 2 songs we're able to hear her vocally more than we do in 20+ BP songs, she also shows us she can rap really fast too, plus the choreography (which she took part in) is on a different level than what she does with the group. Also, while it's not directly in the lyrics, she said that the message in "Lalisa" is that it's her telling the world who she is and that she's very confident in herself and she hopes it also inspires others to be confident in themselves. Artistry can be shown in more ways than the lyrics. Bonus: Saw this fun fact that the part at the end where it's just "Don D-D-D-Don Don Don", the Korean word for "money" is "don"

Many blinks keep saying that they're disappointed because "Lalisa" sounds just like any other Blackpink songs but little did they know tht that's the point "Lalisa" literally show off how Lisa is the "Blackpink" itself, all by herself. idk why tf people expected her to do a soulful, deep ballad when she's a rapper and a dancer. not to say she isn't capable of that but this album was meant to express LISA. She's fun, charismatic, explosive, and loud and this song perfectly encompasses her character traits. say what you will about the song I get that its not for everybody just like the other bp solos were but THIS is a PERFORMANCE song which Lisa excels in the most.

You forget that Lisa is a Korean Idol(from Thailand), she trained dancing and singing for her all live. She loves dancing and holds a position of main dancer and rapper and only sub-vocal. i feel like both lalisa and money complete each other weaknesses. for the lyrics, lalisa brings up lisa's story. for the dance and music, money is more focus on that so the lyrics is just like common hiphop song. both of them fit lisa's character which is a song that you can dance with it. for me, i don't really expect her having such an insane good song that have a deep meaning or high note that makes people impressed, but more of her dance performance cause it's more her style and she's really killing it. eventho it's not that crazy difficult dance, but she seems having fun with it and she had more time to show her dance since in the blackpink not much of dance she could do and she had to balance her dance with other members. i think her solo is pretty solid. she really show people who she is and how she still can stand out alone. it's the same with the rest of blackpink members. they still can shine with their own way when they alone. it's kinda like bigbang and 2ne1.

I was waiting to see your reaction to the beat change in the end of the song and I was not disappointed 😍 I loved the instrumentals, seriously!!! Lisa made a statement with her solo. She went through so much, including hate (they accused her all the time that she couldn't sing, for an example) and xenophobia (a lot of knetz are saying blackpink should be full Korean, I guess showing her Thai heritage in Lalisa triggered their prejudice AGAIN... oh too bad for them!) and these two songs were a statement for the haters and a treat for the fans. To everyone disappointed: You can feel however you like, sure. But like it or not, this IS Lisa. You can expect better production or word play, but expecting her to go for deeper lyrics that show more vulnerability especially as her first song kinda shows you don't know Lisa that well. She likes to keep things positive, look on the bright side, deal with the hardships privately - and she has had A LOT OF hardships, if you know, you know. From racism to losses in the family to serious injuries and her friend betraying her trust... She had endured all silently and kept her smile. She loves dancing so she loves a good dance track, she is all about having a good time, self love, empowerment, feeling sexy and cool. She is the happy pill, the constant of the group, the sunshine maknae. She wants blinks to have fun listening to her song. She wants to see them dance, said watching blinks' dance covers to her songs makes her the happiest. She enjoys hip hop and wanted to try that genre and got to do that. She wanted to use Thai beats and honor her culture visually, she got to do that too. Wanted to choreograph and have a dance break, well, she did that too. A solo debut is all about introducing yourself and Lalisa and Money did just that. Money is reminiscent of some Cardi B songs and even some Rihanna songs, both of whom she loves. Not everything has to be "deep" and emotional. It would feel inauthentic if she tried to force something like that, it's just not her style. She might experiment with that in future solo albums of course but THIS is her style, her personality. Expecting her to be similar to other members when she is not or to be vastly different to Blackpink when she embodies the Black side of Blackpink perfectly and it's very authentic for her is just plain weird. It's okay to not like her style or expect better but saying this isn't Lisa or not personal to her? Now that's just wrong.

Well, Lisa has said that she wants to have fun with her songs and for people to have fun too. So this album is very Lisa-like, the happy virus Lisa. I’m not saying she doesn’t have other sides to her but expecting the ‘tortured artiste’ to come out right on her solo debut is a bit unrealistic to me when it comes to Lisa. People like her that I know irl don’t like voicing out their true deep thought esp ones about struggles or things that are not so happy. Also, I think if and when she decides to show her “raw” self as you put it, it will be through her dancing. She has said that she prefers dancing over rapping. She raps because she can do it, but her true passion is dancing. Personally, this Lalisa is what I come to Kpop for. To have fun, to sing and dance along and all in all to just vibe with. This is Lisa, this is YG- what I am here for.

Wow you are one of the rare ones that has the same thought as I am about this album. Lisa always emphasised about being happy and positive and she showcased just that in her songs. It's about who she is and at the same time an anthem to dance along with her fans. Also glad that you are able to observed her kind of personality where she's not the type to express her thoughts openly but through other forms which is dancing. Overall, the comment section in this video has a lot of people who understands what she's trying to put out. A breathe of fresh air from the many toxic comments elsewhere. :)

He's not criticizing Lisa for lack of emotions, he's saying that he believes she's so talented and he hopes that she just keeps raising the bar & dominate with all her talents on display. Lisa fans shouldn't be offended. He's complimenting her. Do you guys think this is the highest she can ever reach? That's insulting to Lisa. It's so fun coming to your channel and getting to know all these things I miss out on in the videos and music. Like love every minute detail. Gives a fresh perspective of how much work goes on behind the videos. One of the major things I love about your reactions especially is the honesty. Lisa is my bias and I totally love these songs. But exactly what you said. I kinda did slightly expect more from her. She's so talented. She gave us a lot. I think it's pretty good already. It's only her first album. Hope she showcases more of her skills in the next one maybe more for herself than the audiences expectations. Love your reactions tho. 🤌🏻

In the interview, Lisa said that her album is all about herself like she didn't need to pretend to be someone else. Some of the fans expecting that her solo would be like Rosé and Jennie. Blackpink is like a flavor sweet, sour, and spicy and Lisa is spicy. She represents Black the most in her group.

As always, love his reaction because knox not just listen and scream, but he explains everything we need to hear. And i agree lisa have the attitude in her solo and her songs kinda close Blackpink stuff (well this what attracts most people to listen to BP) while rosé more showing her vulnerable side, to show her vocal ability.
