DETROIT, MI You're the best to watch, I love your channel, don't worry about haters! All you have to do is say the A in front of the enema. If somebody said to me that you're only doing this for clicks I would automatically ignore them because that's mental of course you're making KZfaq videos for people to click on them and watch them LOL and they're watching them so they're just doing that so people will click on their comments because they're trolls! A great resource to help understand Tools lyrics is are Genius lyrics and Maynard himself he has multiple videos explaining his thought process because he is a complicated person so is his writing. He's also in Puscifer and A Perfect Circle I listen to both those bands and go to their concerts as well which Puscifer has a new album out they'll be here 2021 God willing so check those bands out! A Perfect Circle rocked us in Detroit 2018, Tool rocked us at DTE 2019 (that was too close!) then Puscifer WILL BE HERE 2021, there the best! Maynards workaholic and he has a VINEYARD he makes wine, etc.... I don't know how he does it all! The man's amazing! So before you get there if you read this Judith is his Mother, RIP, and 10,000 days has something to do with her illness in a wheelchair.

Great reaction man! Lovin the energy in these videos. The thing to remember about Tool is that their music, their purpose is to make the listener think and interpret things for themselves...hence the name of the band. They're a tool for all of us to use to feel, to see, to think about anything and everything so that we can find the answers and our own way in this crazy world ourselves. This has got to be one of my fave songs by Tool. I don't even know why, I just love the line, "but I'm not a burden anyone should bear". I feel that "I don't want it, I just need it. To breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive." Man, I used to self harm & this line hits me in those mental scars

Love the Reaction RAH!🙌 "Stinkfist" as written by Daniel Carey Adam Jones The Guitarist...He Explains... Apply it to something in your own life and you'll find the true meaning behind it. Alot of people connect this song to The sexual act of Fisting. But it can mean more than just that first layer you discover in the song. As with much of Tools songs have multiple layered meanings within. RAH knows how to decipher this song in a beautiful light. I genuinely love you're interpretation. "It's not enough I need more Nothing seems to satisfy I don't want it I just need it To breathe, To feel, To know I'm Alive"... And the movie I think you talkin' about is "The Faculty" I loved that movie as well.

After the new album came out last year, I've been learning Tool on guitar non-stop literally for a year straight. And when I try to learn other bands that I like, the music just looks so simple and uninspiring to play lol. To no fault of their own, Tool just makes you wish that they were the creative standard for musicians as a whole

First Tool song I ever heard. Fell in love with them immediately. Love affair since 96. Keep going buddy, nailing it😁😁😁😁😁😁👍👍👍👍👍👍 I'm glad the haters don't bother you mate. Just sad for them they've got no natural rhythm. Someone else in comments said about desensitization which I think is pretty spot on but I honestly think the purpose of music is to take what you need from it. Evening, Rah. First off, GREAT REACTION. The song is about our NEED for stimulation. Like you said about someone being in love, or with a drug, or even wanting to find something bigger than said love or drug. We are always pushing, embracing, and growing in whatever form it may be. Like, think about how TV used to be, and how it is now. People used to sleep in separate beds on sitcoms in the 50s and 60s, now it is so much more. Lol Video games, musical engineering, cars. ALL subjects are applicable. I'm really excited and glad you did this song, and thank you for going in depth with your analysis as always. If you want the epitome of polyrhythms from these guys, then I HIGHLY suggest Lost Keys+Rosetta Stoned. So many simultaneous beats in that song... Love the content. Keep spiraling out, my man.

Always great to see people getting into Tool. A couple of recommendations. Tool is first and foremost a band. It's fine having the video up but don't let the visuals mess with your understanding of what they are really doing. So for reaction videos ditch the video that Tool created. Focus on the music. Second, you can go either way on having the lyrics up. So many songs you aren't going to "get" on the first listen and even if you do "get" them they may not be what Maynard meant when he wrote them. That's ok. They are artsy fartsy in that respect and leave interpretation up to you. After all, their foremost message is basically "Think for yourself". Third, it's hard to fully appreciate but all four of them are really just world class at what they do. It's impossible to catch what each is doing on the first listen and how they contribute to the whole. For a reaction video that's not all that important but if you dig it, take the opportunity to listen to them later and focus on various instruments. There is a lot going on, it's pretty amazing. Awesome that you are listening with headphones. Keep that up. Anyway, enjoy the ride. If they enhance your life even 5% of how they have enhanced my life you'll be a better man for it. Be well.

Imterpretation is for the individual. I have seen this as someone that has lost the connection or meaning of real or true relation with another. Kinda like as you said with a drug...once, twice occasionally, routinely.. always chasing the feeling emotion of the first...eventually just doing because it is the norm...same with the experience of sex. If only for the thrill of the act.. without the emotional care or love for the other...the act itself becomes routine and the only thrill becomes whatever kink seems to bring excitement. To feel, to know i am alive.. someone who has lost a connection to himself and can only find excitement or life through another... TooL is always subjective to the listener and the meaning they derive. TooL is just that...a tool that can activate your brain to think and vibe. Sound, thought and feeling. ☆ Great job and keep spiraling out.

@RahReacts I'm a huge tool fan and can explain any of their songs. This one is about nudging your mind to try (and stick to) new or harder things. As well as the fact that we've become desensitized to things that used to make us whole and happy. That the " overstimulation" is a reference to people once caring more for things that now do not, whether it be socital pressure, influence, or loss of self. I know this is an old video at this point but I’m loving your Tool reactions. To me, this song is about how overstimulating life has become with the media and just life in general and it’s really uncomfortable but the more you’re exposed, the more you get used to and the more you end up wanting (I’ll keep digging, til I feel SOMETHING). Hence the fisting metaphor. Like with drugs, or porn, or social media. Just my interpretation. Every one can take it any way they want. Music is art and art is subjective. Don’t worry about the haters. It means they’re listening and you can’t make everyone happy all the time. ✌🏻
