First off, its a play on words for " A deer caught in headlights". Because deer are known for freezing and being hit by cars, due to the headlights. 'Doe' is a term for a female deer, basically calling Joker the deer while the 'Beep beep', means that Pennywise is the car. John Doe, is a reference to the Joker in Telltale's Batman game. But 'John Doe' is also literally a legal term for unknown parties for documentation. No one knows who Joker actually is, making him literally unknown. Which in this context, Pennywise is calling him a nobody. Deadlights are the three round lights that Pennywise uses to capture anyone that happens to look into them. Which basically ties in to the whole headlights bit and how deer look into those. This bit alone is just crazy with the word play while also just saying that Joker will be a nobody that he kills.

"They pale, like the moonlight you can dance with the devil in". This is a reference to the 1989 Batman movie; Jack Nicholson would ask his victims this question "you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?". This went over most people's heads

When Joker said he spits acid I think he was referencing how in a comic he fell into a vat of acid therefore creating the joker

Montressor is a “friend” of Fortunado, until Fortunado insults Montressor Montressor is in a family in which they always seek revenge Montressor then tricks Fortunado into his trap in which Fortunado gets buried alive. Which the “seal this battle up, like it was the Cask of Amontillado”

"Who needs guards when you couldn't even escape Cesar Romero's mustache?" Is a reference to the actor who played Joker in the TV show from the 60's. He refused to shave, so they had to cover up his mustache with makeup.

I’m surprised you miss the “Your a John Doe in deadlights” bar. It’s a pretty clever double entendre if you look into it. Let me explain: A John Doe is another word for an unidentified body. So he basically says the Joker will be an unidentifiable body when he’s in his deadlights (Pennywise’s mouth orbs). The other meaning is when he says Doe, which also means a young dear. Deadlights could also be heard as headlights. So he called Joker a dear in his headlights. And a dear in headlights gets petrified and hit by the car.

"I'm the John Wayne of John Wayne Gacys" is probably my favorite line in this. John Wayne Gacy is the Clown killer, and Pennywise uses it referencing "Clown Killer" in both senses here.

Okay but the cask of Amontillado references are actually killer. It's a story about a man dressed as a jester that gets sealed inside of his own wine cellar. The entire story has alot of dramatic irony with the fortunado being incredibly ignorant of montressors true power/intentions so you have the comparison there as well as the "seal this battle up" line-- Poe is one of my favorite poets and the cask of Amontillado actually served as inspiration for the scary clown trend that both pennywise and joker are based off of.

That line got me lol, as it has so many different meanings For starters, the Shining was written by Stephen King and adapted to film by Stanley Kubrick, the film King hated the most, and it also starred Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrence If you don't know already, Jack Nicholson ALSO played Joker in the 1989 Batman (my personal favourite live action incarnation of the character). Basically Nicholson is the connection between these two universes, DC and the King universe These guys have been doing their homework

ERB is one of the best teams on youtube. Their costume and makeup people, their animator’s, writer’s, director’s, researcher’s, all of them are fucking incredible. I was worried they were done with making them back when they took a break for over a year or however long it was, but then they finally came back and are better than ever. Also, Roosevelt vs Churchill is straight fire.
