I honestly respect them more for not having egos so high that they don’t get a normal job and stay tryna flex.This is just a stage in their life I respect any man or woman who keeps pushing to support themselves even if they fell off
@ExtreemDreemer5 ай бұрын
Right. At least they didn’t resort to clout chasing and selling themselves just to collect a check.

Chamillionaire is one of the greats examples of a false perception of “falling off”. Bro was a genius

I feel like people laugh at these artists because of the fact that they take advantage of their status. When these rappers get hot they immediately start believing they are better than the common man. They flex their houses, cars, and money, and even in their rap lyrics, they tend to praise themselves. Now I don't agree with it but I believe that this is the reason why people make jokes and laugh at these rappers when they go broke.

Facts and many of them promoted so much bullshit and acted untouchable.

More rappers need to follow in Jay Z's path as far as finances go. If you get rich but still have a poverty mindset that money gon be GONE.

It’s so disgusting when people project the way that they feel about themselves onto other people. If you’re celebrating someone’s downfall, then you were most likely bitter about their success. Success that you didn’t believe that you could ever become close to. Smh
@nayatarot7775 ай бұрын
I think that falling off is more embarrassing when you were flexing and allowing your ego to inflate when you had money. If you were always “humble” (that doesn’t mean downplaying your success that you worked for, just simply not acting like you’re better than others because of it), then going back to a regular job would probably be met with more respect and well wishes.

He really tried to play Kelis as if she didn't have platinum success after milkshake and really good sales overseas. 😭

Right, I don’t like all this animosity he has towards Kelis, she has plenty of things going on for her. She has money lol.

That one dude probably gave Nahmir 2,000 dollars because rappers who scam usually post that they’re “doing one time exclusive collab deals” for their followers or upcoming artists, and charge a “discounted” price for a verse then they take the money and run…Nahmir just posted one yesterday I wonder how many people he scammed with that one.

Seeing a lot of young cats, more & more, showing up to my work building with "that look" (face tatts and the whole nine), going for job interviews. As far as I can tell, none of them have been successful in landing a job here unfortunately. It's literally a corporate commercial office building, and not even mailroom positions are hiring them. And while I believe it's illegal to discriminate in the hiring process based on things like face tattoos, how the hell can you even prove that was the reason you didn't get hired? Speculation wise, I assume that many of these Brothers had other plans for their lives when they were scribbling all over their faces that involved the arts, and didn't count on having to deal with this stuff later on. We've all been young and made some impulsive decisions, thinking we're invincible. We also think we have all the time in the world, not realizing just how fast life is about to come at us. But the key is to *not* make too many (or any) permanent life impacting bad decisions during that right of passage life phase. *I am however...* seeing more and more delivery guys coming up to the building with "that look". I'm happy that they're bringing in some income, but I just wish society were at a place where that wasn't all they were relegated to. The most successful I've seen people with "that look" is in the service industry. The bars near where I live, welcome that energy. Plus it's an industry where anyone can thrive if they're good at the job and have the right personality. Enjoy youth, but _Make Good Choices._ 💡
