⚡ 💀 💕 / 🌅 I was lucky enough to be in the audience the only time this song was played live. That was at the Palladium in Hollywood, June 16th, 2017. 'From Dusk Till Dawn' was the first song of a two song encore, followed by 'Road of Resistance'. That's the first time I was there for the world premiere of a BABYMETAL song. Once we figured out what song they were playing, we were all losing our minds. All of the other songs from the second album had already been performed at previous concerts. This song was on the international edition of the second album, 'Metal Resistance'. The domestic (Japanese) edition had 'Syncopation' instead.

FDTD is a hidden gem. I have no idea why but this song hits me so emotionally. The second chorus where Su sings "In the air..." causes shivers and I start to tear up (50 year old metal head here). I love it so much! Great reaction as always! 🤘🦊🤘

See....I've been telling y'all! - THE most underrated BABYMETAL song. EASILY one of my favorite tracks off of the international version of Metal Resistance if not my absolute favorite. And nobody ever seems to talk about this track even when they mention the BABYMETAL songs that are sung in English. Smokey is totally on point about the vocals and mixing. This song is so damn ethereal and cool. Like you said - masterpiece. By the way, Japanese fans didn't get this song on their version - they got Syncopation instead - which is also one of the other best tracks on Metal Resistance, but this time on the Japanese version. Anyway, great reaction as usual.

Orchestrated by a brilliant producer, fronted by the hardworking girls, backed by talented musicians, mixed by competent sound engineer, produced by composer and lyricist, augmented by a whole lot of others, YES, Babymetal is a perfect collab. I remember listening to this album the first time and this song came up, and I revised my estimation of Su's talents. She is much better than I gave hger credit for at the time. I think a lot of people mistake Su's singing in her high range for synth instead of high range percussive vocals. I know I have seen reactors not pick up on when Su comes in. Brilliant song. And Moa had a lot of presence on backup.

Babymetal - brightening up the planet! Trash Talkers - brightening up Mondays! 'Dusk' is, as Smokey said, Old English 'Dox', meaning 'darken in colour'. Smokey really needs to watch 'From Dusk Til Dawn', which does star Tarantino, who also wrote the script. It's a great film with a big surprise in the middle. It also has George Clooney, Harvey Keitel, an amazing dance from Selma Hayek and also a mad performanceby Cheech Marin, of Cheech and Chong fame. This video was amazing but your comments were better - had to revisit the song, stick it on my phone, play it over a few times and, ys, you're right, it's a masterpiece. A vastly overlooked and underrated song, some fans see it as a 'filler' track on the album but to me it's an epic track.

Hollywood biting candles till Dawn😉 Su's "In the Aaaaiiiirrrr!!!!" part gets me everytime and "Break"(down) is realy cool. This song was on the international CD Album, and Syncopation was on the domnestic (japanese) Album instead. Now that was a great reaction - and they made you virtually chew on that whole candle. I'm really not sure about that lyric video though, nobody has ever really been able to make out all the lyrics even though they are singing in English and I'm sure the vast majority of what was on that video was wrong ... good on whoever put it together for trying though. So why isn't this their most popular song ... it would be right up there among the favourites if they had performed it live more than once and if there was a pro-shot video of the performance, but most people have probably only heard it a few times when they've played the album. I knew you both would love this song, it's in my constant top five, I listen to it everyday for the last 5 years, and hey, the only time they ever played it live was at the "Hollywood Paladium" in 2017, it is just like Babymetal to keep one of their best songs hidden from public consumption all these years, maybe since the fans voted it one of the top songs in the tournament, maybe they will bust it out again, especially with Su's matured voice, it could be even more epic than it already is. my next recommendation is a fan-cam compilation of "From Dusk Til Dawn" there are a few out there, you will get to see how they danced to it.

The movie From Dusk Till Dawn is from Robert Rodriguez. Quentin Tarantino wrote the script and also acts in it. The main character is played by George Clooney. Jennifer Lewis and Harvey Keitel are also in it.

The live version of this is on an entirely different level of awesome. There isn't a professionally made live version since they only performed it live once and that recording was never released, but there are fancams from that concert. Someone else posted a link to a pretty good quality fancam below, and it's the only real option we have of experiencing the live version. I also recommend it.

You guys are so much friggin' fun. Took me awhile to get to this one - great react! Was at the only show (in Hollywood, ironically) that this was performed at live - it was totally lit. (side note - pretty sure the words in that lyric video are hitting at about 50%...nobody truly knows what the real lyrics are...that is part of the fun)

Their best song from Metal Resistance, IMO. By far. Love seeing the infectious energy from both of you as you groove with the entirety of the piece. Also, probably the closest American band, to my knowledge, that took from a lot of genres/instruments, was Linkin Park (an example is “Nobody’s Listening,” which uses a traditional Japanese flute as the base of the song). Check that one out for yourselves. Keep up the high energy in all of your videos please. We all love seeing it.

Have been mentioned and shown many times on Japanese TV, displayed on huge screens at some major Tokyo intersections, their choreographer MIKIKO (as well as Sakura Gakuin's, and Perfume's) was/is slated to do the choreo for the 202x Tokyo Olympics (FU Covid) as well as doing the Japan preview at the last Olympics. So anyway, as one example, Babymetal sold out two consecutive nights of 55,000 seats each at the Tokyo Dome back in Sept 2016, even now outside Japan most shows are at small venues of 1 to 5 thousand. I'm sure others have already said this but yes, Quinton Tarantino "From Dusk to Dawn" was a cool horror flick with George Clooney and Selma Hayek. You need to see it. They even made a decent TV show from the movie, also worth hitting on Netflix. Many bands have tried to imitate Babymetal over the last decade but this was an original creation that came from Koba-metal's mind. He got Amuse to back him and took his creation to the next level. The song writing, the video production, the stage performances, the Kami Band, the outfits, the selection of Su and Moa, and every detail was/is his brain child. And once Amuse brought the deep pocket funding to allow for all of this it's been an unbelievable success. Most Japanese people have little knowledge of Babymetal because "metal" is not very mainstream in Japan. I have personally bitched at NHK Japan for not recognizing them more. Finally, just in the past few weeks, Babymetal got the top billing on "Songs of Japan" on NHK, which was way overdue. They are starting to get the recognition they deserve back home. They are the first Asian band in history to hit the number one spot on Billboards Top Albums chart in 2019 for Metal Galaxy. Not just Japanese, but all of Asia. That is huge! (Keeping in mind that they sing in Japanese but still hit number one in the US/UK Market) They are "one of a kind". Needless to say, I am a huge fan of course, but these facts can't be denied. They are the best band to ever come out of Japan. (Band-Maid is an amazing rock band as well and worth recognition too) However, Babymetal is blazing the trail and all the rest can only try to follow in their footsteps. I found Babymetal in 2018 and have been part of The One ever since. I have seen them live in 2019 in Orlando, I buy their merch, and I support them as much as I can. I am an old dude so I see the girls as cute young ladies not like the fan boys. I am all about the quality of the band, the excellent musicians, amazing vocals, insane productions and stage performances, and "out of the box" thinking that has created something so unique in the "metal" scene and musical world in general. There nobody that does it the way Babymetal does it. Thanks for digging into Babymetal the way you have. I believe that most KZfaq channels try to benefit from the fan base by doing "reactions" just to boost their numbers. They don't really care about the music, the band, or the fans. It's just for their own profit. Which gets old for me rather quickly. I lose interest in their channel once I see that they are just doing it to promote themselves. But you guys have kept my interest all along your journey into the Babymetal discography. I appreciate your enthusiasm and appreciation of the art. You have done a great job of exploring this band that I personally love so much. All I can say is Thank You So Much!!

One of the more "hidden" Babymetal songs (at least imo), was played live very VERY few times, I think saying 5 times is a lot. Super happy your guys got to listen it! A suggestions, there are some videos of Su, Moa and Yui watching the MV of Megitsune, Ijime Dame Zettai and a few more and making comments on it, it's really fun to watch!

FDTD is (for want of a better word) an interlude of sorts on the album, but when it's that good, calling it an interlude seems blasphemous at best. A masterpiece as you say, I especially love Su hitting them high notes with "In the air". Chills. As far as their Japanese fanbase, I believe it isn't as big as you would think sadly, although it looks like they may gain a lot more in 2021 if all goes to plan. The fans they do have at home though are dedicated as any could wish for and us as westerners have a huge debt of gratitude owed to them, as Sonisphere likely wouldn't have happened and everything that followed. Wow, you had so much praise for this song that I'm starting to wonder whether its ingenuity has escaped me so far. It resides pretty low on my personal ranking. But there are two remarks to be made about that: 1. Even BABYMETAL's least great song is still pretty great. 2. All the songs at the bottom of my list have moments where I think "Hm, why is this so low on the list, it's actually really good". For some reason the song sometimes reminds me of "All the Things She Said" by a Russian band called "t.A.T.u." that was a hit here in Germany in the 90s (I think). I don't know if it was well known internationally. (I was already a metalhead and only liked it in secret, of course, please don't tell anybody). I wonder whether some of your Japanese viewers don't even know the song, as it has only been released on the international version of the album. The Japanese one had Syncopation instead.

Babymetal only performance off this was i believe in the palladium on a US tour ( which will have been mentioned already ) .it did get voted for on BabyMetal 10 best songs bùt someone else had the rights and for some reason they could not get the copyright probley someone wanting to much money . So by default ì think headbangèr won . This song gives me goosebumps everytime i hear it like most BabyMetal songs . From Su to Yui , Moa the Kamis the songwriter the producer. To production and backstage and the audience i think is what makes BabyMetal who they are which is a phenomenon . In my opinion there is no one out there near been like them . 🤘🦊🤘❤🔥

To answer your of why no American band is like Babymetal is that there is no entertainment/agency like Amuse in the US. There is "machine" behind the girls lead by Kobametal. That "machine" includes song writers, arrangers, musicians, stage designers, costume designers and their choreographer Mikikometal plus many others. Su-Metal has always had input in regard to the lyrics, after all she's the one singing them. Moa with Su now create the main dance steps for the songs finalizing by working with Mokikiometal. Keep in mind the dance routine must always be choreographed for Su's and at times Moa's singing. Babymetal is not a low cost operation. The closest to Babymetal's staging would be Pink Floyd at their peak with "The Wall".
