I don’t think just bc you stop working with a producer means you abandon them. Many producers (like pierre) tend to have a very specific sound so it makes sense that after a while an artist would want to evolve. But you can def do that in a non-asshole type of way but most of these guys don’t

I used to be a mv director in the underground scene, super active during the 2021-2023 era and it’s really hard for us on the support end of artists to balance making money/securing yourself. Most of these artists will quickly switch up as soon as they start coming up, whether it’s their own personality or influence from mgmt/labels. It’s like you gotta take risks for people, work for free, and even distance yourself from certain ppl bc beefs all to hopefully get paid and taken care of by ppl that will replace you the second someone with more value comes around. That’s why i quit that shit toxic industry
