@@RaptorsDigest interesting interview on tsn with hayes and bobby marks on raptors this coming season. said they wont be a 500 team, so if there is a year to tank and bottom out, its this year with a potential 6 impact franchise changing players at the top of the draft.

no one gonna move on bruce brown till brandon ingram question and derozan question is answered. then there will be interest in bruce brown from likely bucks who have to do something to keep pace with other teams in east. bruce brown may be a way for memphis, lakers or pelicans to get the center they want but players like bruce brown wont be moved till the big pieces on the board are gone because everyone is waiting and trying to get the big pieces.

Bruce B + Chris + draft capital = Cam Johnson + Day’Ron Sharp. By draft capital I mean 2 seconds. If they want a first we must get their second same year and first must be top 14 protected. We do have to take more money but 2 players that really fill the roster. OA, RJ, Gradey and Ja’Kobe all will have to be prepped to play either wing based on matchups.

@@IceManLikeGervin you are right that is why we have a chance to get him. If he played 80 games a year he would be paid more and Brooklyn would ask for a lot more. We have lots of young players that could help depth at SF. So, bring him in as starter pick the 8-9 games that are back to back and give him night off on those. Give others like RJ, OA, JW, GD experience at both SG and Sf. All of the players except RJ would love more PT. Load manage Cam and hope we can win some Play-in or Playoff games. If we make this move I am more likely to project this team into the 6-8 range. It would be good to test IQ, SB in the playoffs in roles that are different than any other playoff game before.

@benrogers gary harris got 7 million a year for 2 years with magic and he gets half the stats of gary trent jr, my guess is gary trent jr likely get 10-12 million a year for 4 years. its a fair contract.

Gary Trent Jr. glaze tbh. The guy has been more and more disappointing every month in the last two years and with all the good shooting guards we have now its an unnecessary sign imo. Let him walk, why sign a guy that needs to be traded. If no one wants him we get cooked by signing him.

GTJ shot 39% from 3fg and led the NBA in wide open 3fg% at 51.3%. GTJ is the Raptors best 3fg shooter and an elite wide open 3fg shooter. I don't think you really know what you are posting about.

Exactly. He’s Mike James on a bad team with a green light . Guys like Trent look decent on bad teams because they’re the iso scorer on a team without much iso scores but on a good offensive team you would hate his style of basketball because he’s a ball stopper that isn’t insistent enough to be stopping the ball from moving.. That’s Gary Trent.. when you have a young team you value guys like this because you tell yourself he’s the one guy that can play this iso type of basketball to get you a bucket every now and then. He’s the new Linas Kleiza and Carlos Delfino. Guys like Ben have the mentality that if we don’t have a guy like Trent to go iso then who do we have ? We have team basketball!!! I don’t care if Trent walks. I rather promote Gradey Dick and let the kids play.

No trade is coming and we don’t care about Trent like that. Out of all the players that walked in the last few years Trent us one least im going lose sleep over. He doesn’t fit this offense! Just because a bad team has a guy that take’s a lot of shots it doesn’t mean he’s valuable to the team. Trent reminds me of Mike James when he was on the raptors. James scored a bunch of points on the Raptors because the team wasn’t good but the moment he went to a good team his game go exposed and he became a negative asset. Trent is ball stopper. He’s not good enough to be your iso guy.

Don’t hold your breath, Bruce Brown will probably be traded next season at the deadline as a valued expiring contract. Raps should do Chris Boucher a solid and trade him or let him go as he is not going to be played a lot again this upcoming season.

Do you hear yourself? You start by saying we have WAY too many guards. And then you B I T CH about not bringing Gary back? He’s a guard dummy. The raps need a top ten pick next year. Need to focus on developing the young guys and the young core. We start making moves to win next off season, not this one. This off season is about getting younger. Getting more youth. Then we use the season to develop them and add another young building block next year.

. The only and I mean the only trade Toronto should be looking at is a trade with the Lakers by sending Bruce Brown to the Lakers for Dalton Knecht. Lakers could use a vetran Championship Guard while the Raptors could use one of the best pure scorers in this draft class. A win for both teams. And lets face it Lebron is a horrible player to develope with. And now with Bronny on the Lakers Knecht won't see any playing time,
