Amazed that some people still think the show was for kids. It came on in the early evening time slot when more adults are watching and much of its humor was way above a child's level. Most every celebrity in Hollywood at the time wanted to be on the show and most of those that appeared said they had a blast doing it.

Just when I thought I couldn't love the Muppets more....wow, the perfect woman.

I was in hospital when she passed away. O.K, no one is immortal,.but losing Raquel, didnt help. I was gutted. Incidently, i recently watched One million years B.C. My eyes never saw any other clip she wasnt in. R.I.P BABE 😢😢😢

I remember seeing this at 4 years old. I knew exactly what I was thinking then and now.

This is a song I never would have expected to see performed on the Muppet Show (considering Diana's original was simply an album track from the album of the same name). Raquel performs it well (didn't know she sang, actually). And quite sexy for what is normally a kid's show.

I saw this episode the first time it was broadcast in the US (yes I'm that old). When I heard that Raquel was going to appear on The Muppet Show I assumed that she would really tone down her manner of dress. I was very pleasantly surprised! Raquel knew what, um, those Muppets needed!

Yeah Ryan was definitely on to something here.

A lot of people are saying things to the effect that this *proves* that _The Muppet Show_ was not for kids. But they are missing something: in the 1970s we didn't assume that a curvy lady, a skimpy outfit, and a sexy dance was harmful to children. A show could be "for kids" and also have something for adults. We didn't think that a child was ruined forever just because he or she saw something a little sexy. I mean sure, kids weren't encouraged to watch hard core porn, but something like this? Let the kids enjoy it, and let Dad enjoy it too. In fact both little boys and little girls liked this, though for different reasons. Usually; you never know with some kids.
