These comparison videos you do are SO helpful, they're just awesome. I love them. Be it about colors, sister styles, or in this case, dupes, to see them side by side answers so many questions. The cost of wigs these days seem to be creeping up, new styles not offered as often and sales not as good, imo. Eclat was crazy expensive, never would have bought her had you not clued me in on that awesome sale. She has gone up in price on some sites since she first came out. Begs the question "why?" You look beautiful in both styles. Glad we can share hair and ideas. We are all definitely stronger together. Thanks for all you to do to bring us great content. 🤗❤

Denise Thank you for confirming that two of the same wig can be different lol I thought I was loosing my mind. Sometimes I will buy more than one of my fav styles if they are on sale. I will get them and the look slightly different! I have realized that is just how it is sometimes. Both of these wigs look great on you! I like Editor's pick better because it looks a little longer and it looks very soft.

Thank for the info on the fit. I'm a average/large but so many brands of wigs have hardly any stretch. It's really difficult when you can't go to shop and try them on.

Ellen Wille is way too small for my 22 1/4” circumstance. Editors pick elite was so tight it gave me a headache after 5 minutes on. So your right in stating wigs run different. So thanks for this interview.

The biggest difference to me is the highlights at the front hairline. Raquel Welch are always extremely light to a distracting degree, and the Ellen Willie hairline highlights here look more subtle and natural IMO

Denise, I have to say my experience with RW shaded praline biscuit editors pick was much different than my EW Eclat in Pearl Blonde. My RW was one of the more strawberry blonde versions and did not hold up nearly as well as my Eclat which in my case is a much lighter feel in the amount of hair and is holding up much better. Just my take. Love your reviews.

Plus the EW Wig Caps always fit me and RW do not. Maybe it’s just my head Lol, but there seems to always be too much hair and too loose of a wig cap in theRW wigs

From watching Taz's videos I have come to realize that Shaded Biscuit varies SO MUCH from wig to wig since she has had so many in that color. Makes it so incredibly hard to buy one confidently.

Hi Denise! Love your reviews and your openness about your faith! I am a sister in Christ who have just started wearing topoers/wigs in the last year. I love the look of these two wigs but am concerned about the size. I too have a 22” circumference. I want this look but would rather have something that would be slightly larger.BNI have unfiltered by Raquel and it is slightly too snug for my comfort. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Belle Tress and Estetica are two brands that seem to run a little bigger than other brands. I have always had to cinch both of those brands in some on the circumference.

Thanks for all of this information, Denise. I am wondering if the EW version would hold up longer-term. I have only owned one RW wig. The fibers broke down so quickly that I cannot bring myself to try RW again. MiMi's wig boutique said her EW fibers seemed to be very durable.

I can say my RW Editor's pick has held up beautiful and I have had her over a year. I always spray some silicon on the nape after I comb out any tangles at the end of the day. Then I scrunch her and I may spray a little water all over also and scrunch all of it and put her up for the night. The next day she's perfect. I have her in Iced Latte Macchiato. No fly aways at all. To me she's a fabulous wig. Hope this helps.

I do think they are finer... they don't feel quite the same. Raquel Welch heat friendly wigs feel really waxy to me... Belle Tress does not (LOVE the feel of those fibers) and neither does Ellen Wille.

Yes! Hair Society is actually an Ellen Wille brand...are you looking at a seller in the UK or overseas? I noticed that they often list Ellen Wille wigs by their sub-brands... that doesn't really happen here in the USA, at least not that I have seen.

This wig buying can be very frustrating, Editors Pick is longer for sure, I just ordered today a Girl Mono, after many, many videos and after watching your video were you show 6 Girl Mono in 6 shades, I made the jump but the fact that from wig to wig the diferences can be so big it's something that does not inspires confidence in the brands, I have never send a wig back and hate to do that but being here in Canada a $400 wig can get to be $600 in a flash, never mind an Eclat, then you get it and it's not what you were expecting, for exemple, all the Girl Mono you show and any Girl Mono I have seen has a flat back, almost looks like it has lack of hair, ( I don't know if you had noticed but it comes on the screen as very flat on the back )I will have to see it carefully before I start to play with it to make her my own, It's really very confusing, prices, shades ( an adventure on it's own ), I wish that the brands had a bit more consideration for the buyer ( and for you that review them ) and at least made them with the curls, cuts and shades more uniform so buying a wig was not a question of "luck", I am retired, I don't mind to buy less but get quality and not just the chance of getting good curls or bad curls, even on sale my Girl Mono ( cute but not hand tie ) is going to be around $300 and all is hanging on my luck regarding the shade, the curl pattern, etc, etc...your videos and all the ladies who take time to show them to us are doing a great job and I am sure it's not easy for you as well...I am now waiting for my Girl Mono but it might take 30 days or more but that is due to all the problems with shipping and trucks, etc, I will be praying that she comes with a nice curl pattern and a nice shade...those are both really cute, the shades look amazing on you ( never saw a wig that does not look good on you ),I like them both but for sure RW wig is longer...go figure....sorry for the very long rant, thanks for the great job of showing them to us, if not for you I really don't know how I would have navigated this wig ocean, thanks, stay well.

Hi, Maria! I agree with you, it really does feel like a game of luck. That is one of the reasons I am always so nervous when I buy a curly wig and actually PREFER to buy from the secondary market if I can (when people re-sell their wigs)... at least then I can see the ACTUAL piece I would be getting. I have gotten most of my Girl Monos that way and there have been a few times I did not purchase one because it just didn't look curly enough in the pictures. The problem with that is you could wait FOREVER to find what you are looking for. Even though it is the pits it is awesome when it works out!

Does Raquel Welch put a bit of very light color in the front around the hairline

Yes, usually. Sometimes they are VERY heavy handed with it and it can look a little odd when pulling the hair up in front, but they are the best when it comes to making the lace front hairline look super realistic and that is one of the reasons why (the lighter colors up front).

Because it doesn't have the permatease that the regular one has it could very well look longer even though it has the same length fibers. Permatease gives them lift.

I will definitely be sharing in videos..... don't get me wrong, they are not perfect but neither are regular synthetic... and I like some styles better than others in heat friendly for sure.... but I went from thinking I would never like them to actually liking some of them MORE than regular synthetic (straight or very gently waved styles in particular). Can't wait to share!

I have a question. I have editors pick. My lace doesn’t seem to lay completely flat. I have to glue down cause I’m afraid of it being noticeable. Is it normal for the lace to lay not completely flat? (This is my first wig)

A few things can impact lace not laying flat... the fit is the biggest one.. if the wig is too big or too small it can cause the lace to not lay flat. If you are wearing a wig grip underneath, that can impact it as well. Some wig grips are thicker than others which can cause the lace to not lay flat (especially if it makes the wig tight on you).... if that is the case I would look for a wig grip with lace in the front and then push it back a little ways on your head so the bulk of the grip isn't so far forward and see if that helps. ALSO... sometimes lace gets stretched out if you aren't super careful with it (and even if you are since it is very delicate)... and that can cause it to not lay flat as well.

I will also pull in the Velcro in the back. Maybe I have it too loss. Thank you. I will try all of your tips. I Have the size large cap because of my large measurements. Why would you buy a synthetic wig for $700 for a wig, when you can get a HH at almost the same price. I just bought two RW for $550.00.

One things I've learned on this wig journey is that everyone has different preferences and priorities when it comes to wigs (well, ANYTHING, actually). I can't imagine paying $400 for a pair of boots or a purse but LOTS of people do. I'm just so grateful there are options for everyone.

Hi, Newbie And a pinhead. 😕 i only started as i'm losing hair in front and landed on a top piece by Godivasecretwigs, love their videos but as with most petite is so limited. I have medium to long always was fine but now so thin too. I bought one LF synthetic GSW bought long top on sale (not returnable) and looks so close to my hair BUT it lays too much in front (styled?) and seems too much hair as well so in the closet she sits. The other is cute but is machine teased and sit loose and high because not much to clip to Phew anyway looking for medium length lace front w/wispy side bang in PETITE. So i ask ladies familiar if you can direct me to other good companies.. tyia. P.s. i know..debulking but i'm not confident and first topper jon renau real hair $700! top piece needed thinning (learning) i bought from wig shop she butchered. so can't wear and she won't admit she messed it up. even watching videos nervous wreck to do on the GSW one. I watched so many of these and there were many that look terrible and many that you pop on and they look GREAT. that's what I'm looking for because I'm a natural girl and fussing is... Gonna make me cry! I actually would stick with godiva wigs if they made more variety petites. They are either short or a super heavy hair long one. The toppers are becoming a problem because I'm losing more and more hair in the front so Soon I won't be able to clip in and they sit a little high because of that. Wow this was long sorry! 😮

This journey can be really overwhelming for sure. There are so many choices and so many variables to whether or not a wig will work (head size, face shape, willingness to work with a wig to make it more suitable for you).
