I am waiting for mine to arrive. I thought everything really looked beautiful on you. I do wish you had mentioned the mission statement behind the brand, which I think is just wonderful. I'll give you an idea, it may not be exact...the brand is donating 100million over a ten year span, for mental health awareness and funding for people who cannot afford the care they need. I think at the price range, which I think is very reasonable, to have such a mission, enables a lot of people to take part in something great. Its a WIN WIN, you get makeup and take part in something wonderful. Also the packing is eco friendly, yes you have to recycle it, I hope we are doing that anyways. The packaging its self was thought out also, the lipstick case is magnetic and designed with one side flat so it doesn't roll away from you. The ball on the top of the blush is designed for anyone with motorskills issues, arthritis and such, by pressing down with the inside palm and turning. Its vegan & cruelty free as well. Every detail was thoughtfull. Albeit it may not be a perfect brand it's out the gate strong, and I will be waiting for further launches. I can get behind a brand like this, and I hope it sets an example for the future. I do think this is the future of cosmetics, and I am for one, excited to see what the future holds. As always I completely trust your reviews and depend on them on honestly. I thank you for your tireless work, you work hard Tara! Love you so mauch....lol

YES!! That is actually the reason the eyebrow product is so THICC! So those with autoimmune disorders like Selena herself doesn't have to use pressure to get pigment on their eyebrows. It is also why the concealer top is flattened, a ball would be too small for the palm so the flattened ball can be grasped between the thumb and forefinger way down in the crook by the palm so fingers don't have to bend! I'm actually not even a Selena fan (I'm a goth so obviously my music taste is vastly different from her style) but I ordered everything in this launch except the sponge, primer, setting spray, brow pencil, and blotting kit. But Sephora lost my package so its not coming til Friday!!! LOLLLLLL AND that [package had my ND Glam palette and a whole bunch of other goodies too, of COURSE!!!!

Thank you so much for sharing Selena’s focus with her Rare Beauty brand. I’ve seen many reviews regarding the makeup, packaging and tools. Of course reviews, expectations and personal experience are all valid. That being said, I appreciate Selena so much. I also have Lupus- and I feel seen and heard with this launch. Most makeup sponges are too heavy and dense for my hands. I cannot close my fist- (squeeze out water) and I have a weak grip. The foundation and concealer brushes are lightweight in my hand to minimize fatigue. It’s difficult for me to open bottles and I am able to use the sphere /disc to help. The eyebrow product is very pigmented and larger which allow me to use less pressure and requires fewer strokes. The same with her eyeliner, wider base and precision point also helps me with application- my hands shake and my fine motor is affected. I’m often fatigued doing simple tasks like makeup. It’s something people may take for granted. I believe it was also an aspect Selena was conscious & purposeful of when creating her brand. When I need a makeup pick me up I will definitely be using these products. Really appreciate your video and channel.💙 * There's a ball in the foundation and I find that after I shake well it wears better.

This!! I've always liked your reviews due to how thorough she is but I don't think I ever appreciated it until I watched a ton of Rare Beauty reviews. There are sooooo many sloppy, useless ones, and almost especially by the big-named ones. Really opened my eyes to the amount of garbage scattered around in KZfaq. People say it's to make them relatable, but you are still very relatable while still being thorough, structured and coherent. I don't see why they need to be exclusive.

i love your reviews. you’re so thorough and never biased. you keep it real! i love how the makeup looked on you. that matte blush and highlighter are stunning. that lip color looks good on you. i’ve seen swatches of the lip balms and i’m definitely grabbing a couple of them and i’m absolutely and without a doubt grabbing both those brushes. i agree that the compact with the puff could’ve turned out SOOOO much better and wayyyy more useful. you’re amazing. i needed a tinted mascara and i watched a comparisons video and one of them was the smashbox and as soon as i watched your video and your review, i ordered it online from ulta, and i loveeee it! thank you so much. ♥️

Initially i was interested in the foundation but read that it had sunflower seed oil in it, and didn’t think it would be long wearing. These days I’m WFH so i don’t have a need to wear makeup longer than 6 hrs when i do. However, i feel like this is the type of formula I’d have to test for longer to see if it would hold up once i return to a normal workday (10-11hrs). These days If I’m going anywhere with makeup and have to wear a face covering it’s usually a bandana. Matte foundation & i start off wearing a matte bullet lipstick like CT or ND and then switching to a gloss later in the day is easier to manage, so her lip balm looks too slippy. Ironically i get more removal on my nose with a covering and carry a puff & CT powder to touch up. So if the powder compact had been as you suggested i would have been interested.

Great review! I love the Bliss blush too. I had a hard time getting a foundation, I’m on my third choice, they were all neutral but all very yellow. I wasted my money on a sponge too. I wish I had watch some reviews before my purchases LOL.

Yassss Tara i think you & I were the only one that gave credit to the brushes they’re so good & I was actually surprised that they didn’t sucked up any product👌🏼 I loved the blushes I picked up Bliss and Grateful but I liked the Matte one better than the dewy they blend so much easier✨ but everything looks flawless on you tho💋💯💪🏼

Joey H-Tinkous i would suggest using products made for curly hair. Especially the curly girl method. But please PLEASE don’t use devacurl. You can look up how badly that brand has ruined customers hair

Joey H-Tinkous You can purchase Olaplex minis at Sephora online. I think it’s $28 for almost everything in the line. Research the bonding treatments 0 and 3. And the shampoo, conditioner 4 and 5. I think they will work out for you.

I enjoy watching your videos because you are so thorough with your reviews! This was another example of that! Selena Gomez's new line seems to be good quality. I watched Nikkie Tutorials with Selena Gomez, and she demonstrated her products along with Nikkie. What fun! When Selena put on her blush, she simply dotted it on and then blended it with her brush. Easy peasy!

Very fair observations, zero bias for the brand just honestly. I'm interested in the blushers, in both finishes. They look beautiful. Ahhh, thank you so much💋❤ So. I get my hair colored to freshen it up and get rid of the grey🤪 she does a level 4 on my hair with a little bit of gold to add the shine too it. I had I-Tip extensions for YEARS and got tired of the upkeep so I decided to take them out and now I use the Luxy Clip ins. Here is the link to the exact pair I wear. They add the blonde towards the bottom of my hair because they are balayage and it saves my hair from highlighting it and damaging it. But, both sets are great❤💋 P.S. when my stylist does my hair, she uses the DIA Light Gloss from L'oreal after she applies the color. It really gives it a nice shine and lasts for about 6-8 weeks (but she doesn't share what color and brand she uses on my hair lol. I wish she did🤪) ❤❤❤ Hope that helps💋

I only liked both blushes as sometimes I love a radiant cheek so the dewy would be perfect over a satin finish foundation and the matte over it too or a more radiant one. Christen Dominique reviewed most of the products and absolutely hated most especially the foundation as she stated it made her skin look so textured, showed up orange peel, fine lines enhanced and no other foundation had ever done that. Your eyes looked so beautiful in this review Tara, love love love! xoxo

I can’t believe you salvaged that foundation situation! When you first put it on I was like, “uh oh, that’s five shades darker than you!” For me, I think I’m going to pick up the matte blush and the foundation brush unless you think the #101 from BK Beauty is a better brush? Thanks!

Aloha Tara. I've been loving your channel for over a year now and can't tell you how much I've learned and enjoyed watching you. I have a question about the Uoma Foundation. Do you still like it? I have seen so many video about Rare beauty. I don’t need anymore foundation. I did pick up a couple of blushes. Once I learned how to apply them I love them. I love the way it blended out. I think I will pick up the foundation brush. Do you have a every day foundation like one you reach for more than others. If so which one. I know you have a ton of foundations. I like the shade of lipstick you got it is so pretty on you.

Tara, I am on the hunt for a ride-or-die foundation and haven’t found one yet. If you had to choose just one in your collection what would it be? Our skin tones are very similar. I may be a shade or two darker. I also have drier mature skin.

I find this brand interesting... curious to see if it will come to Australian Sephora. The blush and the balm in particular interest me. Tell ya what did look spectacular in both natural light and at the end of your wear test... the eyeshadow! I was already buying it after seeing both your and Alicia's videos on it but as someone who works 12 hour nightshifts I appreciate eye makeup that wears well which ND shadows generally do but your eyes still looked stunning at the end of the video 😍😍

Unfortunately due to covid international shipping delays it's been in transit about a month now (took almost 2 months for my last PML order)...hopefully it will turn up soon I'm excited to try their formula!

I picked up the foundation and concealer and I think im going to get the brow pencil bc I love tinted brow gels and a blush I got the 15% off coming up. I wish we could use the discount for the hourglass palette it doesn't start til 17th i believe.

Great review! My initial thoughts are...didn't they have a focus group to actually see how the products worked or were/would be received? Because when that sponge popped out and you noticed the texture I was like, yep...not gonna happen. The same with the powder puff...totally agree. Do you think it was geared to a certain skin type or age? I really liked the blush as well and the matte lip cream. I'm fairly picky about foundation too - my skin isn't textured, but what concerns me is the color choice...and not being bale to swatch it on my skin. Omg, these new releases or maybe just make up brands in general need samples like Avon used to do...tiny little gems of possibilities. edit here..watched the video about the powder puff- it looked like it had powder when Selena tapped it, does yours? I wonder if it does or..if they sent some out that weren't filled. Hmmm. They both have refills AANNNNDDdd reading the reviews people said it took a few taps to release the powder. Has that happened for you?

I think It may be a little stiff for that. But i prefer something a little less dense to apply blush. But this would be great for Bronzer or cream Contour❤🦋💋

I bought the foundation and blush, I haven’t received it yet, but a little worried it won’t wear well over my wrinkles. We shall see. And I saw a few reviews saying the blush breaks up the foundation underneath. So got to be careful putting it on

I went to Sephora and found it difficult to shade match . I like the liquid blush . I was waiting for my 15% to decide what to buy . I know a lot of thought went into her line and things were made so people like with lupus could open them . In one of her videos you could see her shaky . I don’t know what to do lol or try .

I returned my lip souflé, I don't like the feeling of it stays on my lips. It feels like I am eating something greasy and didn't wipe my mouth after eating. I think the powder in the puff idea is not a great idea, because I would like to wash my puff from time to time to prevent me breaking out, the powder inside makes it impossible to wash.

Hmmm 🤔 that powder puff component is odd and I think that is a flop product within the line. You shouldn’t have to wonder if there’s powder in the puff or not. It’s so bulky and I wouldn’t want to carry that whole thing around in my purse. Good thing you didn’t buy the liquid eyeliner because after testing it in Sephora and seeing reviews on it, I’m not impressed. The liquid lipstick is comfortable and non drying so that’s a win, but I don’t like the shade I got so I will exchange for a different shade. I have the concealer & foundation en route to me so I will receive that this week and test them out 🤞🏼 I refrained from the liquid blushes and highlighters because the blush is too pigmented and the highlighter is not pigmented enough 😄 I sound like a picky complainer here so my apologies 😑 Overall, I’m not wowed. Thank you Tara for buying all of these products and giving us your honest thoughts- will wait to watch your foundation update later in the week. 😘
