fun fact: the ball shape on top of the products are made to help people with arthritis & other conditions (like lupus, which Selena has) that weakens their hand strength. The shape helps grip the product easier! ☺️ loved the video! 💜

From what I’ve tried so far, this is the make-up brand I didn’t know I needed. I’m not a crazy Selena fan, but I was intrigued enough to give this line a try and I’m pretty impressed so far. Quality products with a good message/intent and convenient packaging for those who need the extra help.

Hi ! Could you compare rare beauty foundation to it cosmetics cc cream ? I’m looking for something that feels similar to the cc cream but with less ingredients it looks great but can irritation

Lauren Kearbey The Rare foundation has a watery like texture with minimal coverage. It is buildable for a more medium to full coverage look depending on what you’re covering. It appears more matte to natural on my dry skin. The CC cream is thicker and more wet looking on the skin with medium coverage. They’re not very similar in my opinion, but Rare has a much better shade range, especially when it comes to undertones. The CC cream is better for me because of how dry my skin is and because it offers more coverage. I have a lot of redness and freckles to cover. They’re both nice, but not comparable.

it good that u decided not to cover up ur blemishes completely with the foundation...that's the point of rare beauty, it's a makeup that allows you to be ur natural self, that is without entirely covering up what makes us unique.

I think you're right about oily skin. When I was younger (teens, twenties) I had dry patches that were pretty gross and hard to hide. With oily skin you can use powder or blot. I am in my forties now and everyone thinks I'm 10,15, sometimes 20 years younger. The oily skin is a gift that took me a long time to appreciate.

Edit: the shape of the caps Selena designed to be ergonomically easy for people with arthritis or pain to be able to open easier. She did this bc she too has lupus so w that comes pain. The sponge is porous, which is probably intended for those who ache from squeezing out the water out of beauty blender type sponges. Like the packaging of the foundation. From seeing her apply the foundation, with light swiping motions, the foundation looks beautiful on Selena. Definitely isn't for everyone, but I admire that she had consumers with arthritis and muscle weakness in mind. 💙

Excited!! I have most of it already. Personally love it, anxious to hear your thoughts! I didn't get highlighter, but got powder puff which I really like. Blushes I got joy n bliss like them both. Prefer the eyebrow gel over the pencil, but it okay. Love the eyeliner!!! Very pleased with foundation, concealer and setting spray. So glad to see your review!!!
