What is up all you Pokémon maniacs out there! PikiPikaPapa is here taking a look at the top 10 Pokemon auction from eBay over the last week. These are the types of videos and data sets that I absolutely LOVE!!! Anytime I can pull data straight from a source like eBay or TCGPlayer I jump at the chance! In my humble opinion these data sets of top 10 Pokemon auctions are the true barometer of health and market prices in the hobby!! What's even more exciting is that if we start looking at these top 10 Pokemon auctions every month we can start to notice trends and patterns which can give us a leg up in the investing and collecting world!!

I watched top 10 Pokémon religiously! He doesn’t run the data much, since I watch it all the time I can get an automatic update on the top cards in the market. It’s super reassuring that the market is strong! I think if you’re going to run an auction recap you need to work it like your grading health recaps. Go broad. Just lob the data per category maybe top 3 in Japanese, English, and maybe the black labels are a final touch. Another note, he really didn’t step into non graded cards. There’s some raw auction data out there that would be fascinating too!

Ohhhh I love this idea!! The top 3 of the big categories and the raw idea is AWESOME!! I didn't even think about that but if there are some cool auctions in that space it could be really cool!! I'm going to spend some more time in trying to access and slice and dice the data into digestible bits but this is a great direction... Thank you as always my friend!!

Great video now I don't have to go anywhere else to get my top ten , top ten auctions did a great job I always watch his video . I don't think there is anyone out there more qualified to do this type of videos then u at least anyone I will watch think u should definitely continue to do them n always thank u for all the time u invest to bring us this great content. Would love to see you divide it in 3 upload days. 1 for english, 1 for japanese and 1 for all other language. On those 3, they may contain vintage, semi-vintage and modern. graded and raw is also preferable. would love to see sealed as well since I'm more a sealed collector my self. I know it's too much, but I trust you that you can make a quality content out of this. great content as always!

I like this thought process and it aligns with a lot of the feedback I've received. I think for sure an Eng & Jap & I'm really into the sealed space too so one of those along the way. I'd love to find a way to integrate the "other" languages too just need to think about how... I always value your amazing input so thank you so much for helping to make the channel better!!

Definitely happy to see you pick up this series. As I've started before and you pointed out, the regurgitation of tcg player is mind numbing. I used to swear by them, but them allowing market manipulation and having the balls to make articles being like "yup, it's a thing we know is happening" is just as bad as the people doing it in my opinion. Yes, it's a free market and people are entitled to list/buy things for whatever they want, but when you see the same low sale seller listing 3-4 copies of a high dollar card for 3x the average sale price of mint in dmg/mp condition...but shocker they have a copy listed at mint with photos for 2x...you know what's up. Also they need to figure out a way to suss out the market price avg figures they list between English and other languages. I definitely view ebay as the more reliable pulse of the market now, but that takes work to sift those numbers. Long rant short. Thank you, and thank you to top 10 pokemon for the work he did. You deserve more subs

Love love love all of this and couldn't agree more!! I've been working with another Pokémon pricing website behind the scenes here for a bit and it's a group I really believe in! I'm actually going to be doing my first ever partnership with them. Thank you for your job and efforts Ryan, much appreciated. However, not a shot on you, every creator needs to follow the demand to get enough $ to make more vids which is awesome, but I'm in general so tired of hearing about Charizard in any shape or form, Moonbreons, Evolving Skies. So many eras, so many sets, so many pokemon and characters but we hear everywhere about these pokemon. I do not have any Charizard or Umbreon in my personal collection and believed if I pulled one I would immediately sell it out to get money for the cards I'm interested in. I wish collections would be more diversified and interesting, so nice to hear something different than Charizard, Umbreon, Pikachu, Mimikyu, Greninja, Mew, Mewtwo, Gengar, Blastoise, Lucario, Gardevoir, Eeevees and few others I forgot now but we all agree there are like 20 pokemon that are hyped and printed over and over.

It's a good call out and def one of the risks that I'm aligned with in regards to the Pokemon hobby as a whole. There is a general lack of "new" high demand high value cards/characters. I come from the sports arena and every year there is a new rookie class with new excitement and hopes. Some classes are better then others but there is always new excitement. I'm not sure how long Pokemon can continue to milk Gen 1 Pokemon and redone OG sets. So far the market seems happy to continue to buy into it but in 20 years without that "new" what might we see? Only time will tell!!

That gold star zard CGC cert has terrible back bottom corners and vertical scratches all over the back (not print lines). There is a reason CGC “gem mint” 10s are doing poorly regarding vintage 10s and that people won’t pay a premium.

I'm a PSA guy myself and it's really a shame that a GEM from a company like CGC would have such obvious flaws... I cracked a CGC 8.5 Umbreon Holo from Plasma Freeze and sent it to PSA for fun last week. Spoiler alert I don't think it has a 8 let alone a 9 in it's future but I wanted to do the exercise anyways!!

Excited to see you take on this role and see how you put your spin on it. I am not very interested in seeing vintage, more modern EN/JP. I think that comparing the three 10s from the different companies was brilliant and should continue for heavy hitter cards. I am also interested in price differential between EN and JP for the same modern card

I feel like in a few years we will see the CGC 10 vintage cards going up in value as the population has not been increasing by much in the recent year. That Gold Star Charizard for $7k was a good investment in my opinion.

I couldn't agree more on the Gold Star being an epic investment.. I think that was a total slam dunk!! I'm pulling for CGC and for the market to see ever increasing values in those slabs. Right now a lot of them seem way undervalued!!
