Testing out the NEW SQUIDGY Dura Stretch soft plastics. We ended up with a couple of rare catches!

The gear we used today included:
Shimano Vanford 3000 on a Zodias 3-6kg rod
NEW Squidgy Fish 100mm
Holt Production SwimPrawn
NEW BKK Jig heads in 1/4oz 3/0 size.
10lb PowerPro Slick 8 Braid

Hey John and Jye, you two teaming up for the classic by the looks, 24 days to go. Points are allocated by size - under 40cm are worth 5 points, legal fish are worth more with each cm over 40 worth more points. Basically the emphasis is on numbers, rather than a few big fish although who wouldn't like to have bragging rights for the Biggest Flathead caught in the Classic... Don't forget to load the net on the day lads 😀.

Thanks mate! That’s great to know. I’m a big fan of hunting those larger fish so I get torn with the lure of scoring fish. Hahaa. 3 days is plenty of time to have a spread of both styles I reckon. Looking forward to it eh :)

those luderick are amazing I chased them down south with my dad for the last 20 years down at the Clarence River iluka there so much fun I love them very meaningful fish for me with dad great video mate

It’s been a bit hit n miss for me at times but they had their eyes and mouths open the other day. It’s a bit protected too which helps me in my little tinny

Those bkk harpax jigheads are on clearance for $5 a pack at brownsplains bcf there's only 1/6, 1/8oz and 1oz left though

Great vid as always Johnny, that luderick was a random one that's for sure. How are you liking the zodias/vanford setup? I recently upgraded my ultra light and medium combos to zodias's and ci4+ stradic's from raider's and ci4 rarenium's and the difference has been light and day!
