A special girl suffers with a rare condition that makes her extremely FRIENDLY.
Little Lauren Taylor, three, has Williams Syndrome, one of the side effects of which means she will say hello to everyone.
Mum Katherine, 37, says it takes her hours to do the supermarket shopping because Lauren has to say hi to everyone.
The condition has also left the youngster with development delays. She is estimated to be around one year behind her peers.

It is not just being very friendly, her syndrome brings health problems, difficulty to do tasks that require motor condemnation (like cutting a paper) and other things. I know it was a joke, but some think that this syndrome just makes the person very friendly

My uncle has this. He wasn't supposed to make it past 10. He's 50 now and is the kindest person I've ever known. He's incredibly sociable and knows every single person that lives in his small town.

@@SCPTheactualgoodguy I mean I don’t know how much the developmental delays have to do with the friendliness, but I know there are definitely developmental delays with this condition. Unfortunately they can stay mentally 6 years old for the rest of their lives. Nevertheless still extremely lovable and loving individuals and honestly my cousin is the friendliest person I know, so excepting if everyone and everything.

When I was in primary school there was this girl a grade above me who had the same thing. She was the sweetest girl, she would always bring a smile to peoples faces and loved giving hugs to people. I don't see her very often anymore because she goes to a different school, but when I see her downtown and gives me a hug it always makes my day :).

My brother has this also, and it doesn’t really make him friendly, it more makes him like to talk a lot to people. It may not always be nice tho, and he doesn’t understand things like someone’s personal bubble, or masks with COVID, so he’ll just go up to people and sometimes hug him, or sniff them. He loves sniffing things.

Sienna Tropical D.I.Y You can't ruin her innocence. If I'm not mistaken, she does not have the ability to understand nor feel anger or fear. So this means that, even in a perilous situation, she would still be just as happy as she always is. As dark as this sounds, she would probably smile and laugh as her parents are dying, not because she enjoys their deaths, but because she doesn't have the ability to grasp situations like that.

The innocent and unwaivering happiness of children like her is just so infectious. I always say I'm not a fan of kids but gosh, if I see a friendly kid in the store you bet I'm smiling brightly at them and waving. I don't ever want to be that adult who just ignores kids, or shoos them away. I want them to have positive memories of adults and be remembered as that grown-up who smiled and waved at them instead of ignoring them. Kids aren't dumb. And unfortunately as we grow we tend to think more of bad memories and less of positive ones. I hope kids like this think more on the positive than the negatives.

Well for starters she is developmentally delayed and will probably maintain a very childlike mental state for the rest of her life meaning she won't be able to care for herself. And because she is overall friendly she is very easy to manipulate, its very dangerous for a child to be this friendly because if she says hello to the wrong person she could get very hurt. It might seem like just a cute issue but it has very deadly consequences

My little brother has William syndrome, he is very friendly and says hi to everyone and anyone. Does not matter where we are. He also likes music, he’s good at memorizing the lyrics. My brother is often everyone’s favorite out of the family.

Once in a store, i've been with my mom, and saw a girl. She was sitting in a wheelchair. She seemed to be about 15 years old. She had the same problem as this girl. She was smiling at us and waving, like we would know eachother. That was kinda cute. I waved her back, and asked if i could go to her. We talked a bit but then we had to go. I sadly never saw her again, but she was an very kind, shy, and very friendly person. If just the world would be happy and caring like her... But we can't change the World.

Omg i have met her before we were on vacation and she ran up to me and my mom and sister and gave me a hug though she was pretty short comparing to me she was adorable to me still even if I barely felt her hug she is very polite , we were mesmerized by her ocean blue eyes mostly lol, God bless her we talked about her for the rest of the day, her parents are so sweet in reality they are very caring ❤️

The opposite of social anxiety is confidence. This girl has a serious genetic disorder. Its nice to see she's social, but that alone can have a downside. More importantly, the other effects of the disability are dramatic. She can likely never live fully independently, and she'll be emotionally stunted in the same way many autistic people are. She'll also likely experience learning disabilities . This isn't the "opposite of social anxiety" it's a terrible disorder.

Williams syndrome is a developmental disorder that affects many parts of the body. Facial features frequently include a broad forehead, short nose, and full cheeks, an appearance that has been described as "elfin". Mild to moderate intellectual disability with particular problems with visual spatial tasks such as drawing and fewer problems with language are typical. Those affected often have an outgoing personality and interact readily with strangers. Problems with teeth, heart problems, especially supravalvular aortic stenosis, and periods of high blood calcium are common. So no it's not that great.
