I saw a cranky in the art gallery looking the Statue of David and he said “this man isn’t wearing shorts! Where are his pants? Wait…where are my pants?” Hahaha 🤣

“…and Red thinks you’re the cops.” LMFAO

The "oof this is cramped" celebration dialogue is more realistically seen when you build a bridge/incline around a crazily-terraformed area

The frog villagers have some interesting dialogue when you gift them an umbrella since they have no need for one.

One I’ve experienced is the “oh my phone is ringing again” when you get a call from Timmy and tommy, then a separate call from Harvey during wedding season asking for help

It's probably not that rare, but I love it when villagers say something specific to their species. Just the other day I was talking to Kabuki and he said, "I got a thing for boxes myself, sometimes I just like sitting in them" Classic cat behavior 😂

They wrote 48 different lines per personality for the art pieces but only like two for the crafting recipes. I feel like there was some kinda dialogue budget that was mis-managed

Another thing! If your villager is looking at a homework set when you talk to them, they ask if you've done your homework yet

I can't recall when, but Patty, a cow villager, once commented on it being the year of the cow! Then she let out a bunch of moos... not sure how to stumble across this dialogue again though, especially depending on the year

There's actually special dialogue if you never talked to any villagers (on a different account) and talk to them on Halloween with the Jack costume. They'll panic, realize you're not Jack, and then wonder who you are. It was quite interesting and it's tempting to do it again.

I found out a few days ago that if you do the haunt emote (Halloween emote) in front of wisp, he will lose his spirit as if you talked to him. (No special dialouge, but I thought it was cool)

"Now, re-add it to the game cowards." Nintendo literally 4 days later: "You were saying?"

I know a few more: Muffy's birthday is on Valentine's Day, and she'll remark upon that during her birthday celebration. Also, I don't know if it's a thing in New Horizons, but in the past octopus villagers would get mad if they saw you catch an octopus. Also also, if you bonk Wisp with a net, he says something like "don't confuse me with my spirit pieces!”

My favorite dialogue is the lazy villager breaking the 4th wall one. They'll go on about how their lives are all fake, and then talk about everything that doesn't make sense in the game, like the music, and fruit growing super fast, etc xD It's hilarious, and I've only ever gotten it once ^^

My absolute favorite ACNH dialogue was from Lucky. I once talked to him while standing net to a throwback dino screen, and he proceeded to tell me about his thesis "Emotionalism in Toy Furniture: Recapturing Childhood with Reclaimed Materials". It was absolutely the wildest thing I've seen on Animal Crossing, and I love that the stars aligned so perfectly that I got to witness it!

I placed a wedding organ and a nuptial bell outside. Butch took one look at it and said "did I forget my wedding again?" I'm going to try and post it on my pathetic channel.🤣 Gotta give a gal a break, I'm 61 and not incredibly tech savvy, though I did manage to post one earlier. Wish me luck! "Ugh the dialogue is so repetitive" no it's just that you only have normals and peppies

I share a birthday with Boomer, who was celebrating with Kabuki while Shari, Megan, and Lobo were celebrating mine. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't show, but the next day, I ran into him and he told me, "I didn't get the chance yesterday, so I'll say it now! Happy birthday!!!" It's cool that they added it so your b-day twin will still comment on your cake day. 😊

I love seeing rare dialogue. My brother got Isabelle on his island the same day as the fireworks festival, and so we saw that cool dialogue. I’ve also had flick on my island the day before the bug off, and he mentions how kind the player is for always talking to him and encourages you to participate in the bug off that comes the next day

Nice video :) I have one more to add: If you put down custom tiles everywhere outside and a villager asks you to do a treasure hunt, they come back and say that something weird is going on in this island, and that they can’t find any place to bury the treasure :)

I was sending a bunch of letters in order to get the nook mile achievement for it, and found out there's special dialogue and expressions from the dodo when you send 100 letters in one day.

Peppy villagers say “who’s that pop star?” And compliment themselves when they see their photo

There's also special dialog when you roll a perfect snowboy, but haven't done any diy training with Nook

I don't know if it counts as "rare", but I found something that was new to me just today when I was in terraforming mode and laid down on a hay bed, wondering what would happen if I were to close the app now. Turns out you get a message saying there might be an issue with the signal and you should try getting up and maybe then it'll work. Additionally, if you try entering the fitting room in Able's while still having the Island Designer app open, Mabel will close the app for you. While I do think the dialogue in this game is severely lacking, it's rather charming to discover something new every now and then!

Hey Dagnel I have a video idea!! This is something I’ve been wondering myself for a while - is it possible to place so many items on the beach that it stops Gulliver/Gullivarrrr from being able to appear? This Would probably make a shorter video and be an easier challenge than what you’re used to but I’d love to see this answered haha :D

The only rare dialogue I’ve ever gotten was when you first sell a lot of items at once, Timmy goes “W-what?!” With no explanation. It was neat.

7:27 This is the most amusing dialogue I've had in the game. There was a spider just a split second from killing me and Fauna told me to watch out, unfortunately she didn't seem to care once I did die.

Not super unique I don’t think but I didn’t talk to Hugh for a really long time after he moved in and then the first time I went into his house and chatted with him he gave me the dialogue about the island being strange and it seeming like we were all part of a game. I left him alone for a little while longer after that lmfao

I love stuff like this, the devs really did try to account for every feasible situation. One of my favorites is in New Leaf, where if you're a new player who hasn't upgraded out of the temporary tent yet, she'll make a remark on it and ask if it's a New Year's resolution for you. It's really fun seeing all this dialogue for circumstances that are unlikely or impossible to happen. I actually got the "cramped" ceremony dialogue for a ramp that wasn't really close to any other projects, but because of the terrain.

I share a game with my family, and my brother decided to name the island “jelly”, no caps. Anyway, I talk to Piper white bird villager I adore cuase she’s so expressive and just very unique dialogue, and she asks me how well I know what my brother’s character likes. I say pretty good. And she’s says something like ‘I expected it. I’m so “jelly” of your relationship!” Jelly in blue. This peppy bird not only made a pun with the island’s name, but used the playful version of jealous that was in line with her character. Suffice to say I freaked out cause I only noticed the second time she made this joke with a different question. Cause how?? That’s got to be some complexed ai going on? What’s the chance she’d make a pun with an island name that’s different per player?? Hello?? Are you alive?? So… I’ve been looking at her a bit differently lately.. Gave her an item she was looking at at the nook shop. She gave me this neat vest. - Also I learned today I learned she has a pet stag beetle named Piper. I want to try giving her one next time I find one.

4:17 I donated the last bug and fish to the museum earlier this month and I triggered this month. I was surprised when I realized I triggered a rare dialogue but later I kinda regret that I should donate the bug and fish separately.

I talked to Maddie a little while ago in her house and she said something about “maybe I should become a virus that way everyone would know about me maybe the Maddievirus” or something and I was so caught off guard like Did Nintendo update the dialogue to make the villagers aware of Covid?? 😂

There is this extremely rare message that is more of a "you have to be there at right place,at the right time." situation where if you were playing New Horizons when server maintenance for the game was about to start,a pop-up message similar to when a friend comes over or leaves would pop up saying "Server maintenance is starting soon!" or something like that. Thankfully,I did capture a screenshot of it.

There's been quite a bit of general dialogue added in, even sneaked in, over the last several months. That's something, at least...

I love when you talk to ruby (idk her personally) holding a shovel she’ll talk about pit traps and how she has 73 on the island. It’s really funny.

I love the Halloween decorations and decorate my island with them, and I had multiple villagers comment on them, like specifically noting that they're Halloween stuff and that I'm getting ready for it. I thought it was pretty neat when it first happened!

I got that birthday dialogue from Melba a couple days ago! She said my birthday is easy to remember, 9/9, and it must be my lucky number. She actually is right, 9 is my lucky number. Oh, I found the dialogue she gave on the website. "With a birthday on September 9, that means the day you were born matches the number of the month. You have a very easy birthday to remember... It's like you have your own lucky number, toasty!"

there's extra dialog for sable if you talk to her every day (well you dont have to do it every single day, but still) where she starts to open up n stuff, surprising mabel, and giving you extra customisation options for different items.

Another thing: inviting villagers that already live on your island (through amiibo) has unique dialogue, and also villagers getting ready to move into your island. (again, through amiibo), I believe.

Ok, that's not fair. I actually do have two villagers who share my birthday.

Not super rare, but if you hit wisp with a net when he is small he’ll say something like “hey, you know I’m not a spirit piece, right?” (I know this because I hate wisp cause he KEEPS GIVING ME FURNITURE THAT I ALREADY HAVE EVEN IF I SAY I WANT SOMETHING NEW)

They should really look into updating Isabelle dialogue to add more important things to inform on us. Such as campsite visitors, if flick, labelle, and other npcs are there. infrastructures being built, along with an option to skip as this would make the dialogue far longer the players who would just skip anyway.

I always like to do weird things to see how villagers and/ or npc’s would react. It’s really funny how there’s a lot of cute dialogue that most acnh players will never see. ( Also whenever I get that overhead blue line thing, I always get scared because I think that someone who I didn’t invite is coming over possibly to destroy my island because I didn’t play for a mouth *that’s a Brutus reference btw* but then I realize that it’s just the game telling me not to put pictures on windows, and I get so relieved)

One dialog I saw today for the first time was KK Slider asking me if I wanted to give him a birthday message for another player on my island, whose birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks. Had no idea this feature was in the game.

Would be funny if wisp made you pass out when you didn’t give them. Like he stills the spirits then gets huge and then you pass out.

One time Phoebe and Truffles got into an argument and I had to give Truffles Phoebe's gift to her, and thats how I got Truffles photo. She said that she was giving me her photo without the blue letters, and she actually said something about her photo (it was pretty rare so i should consider it treasure, then she said she was kidding) I'm not really sure if that was rare dialogue but I think it most likely is

My favourite dialogue is between Walt and Murphy :) They were arguing about one being mean or stuffy and they just started being mean to each other and asked for my opinion (I told them I loved them both) and they just started crying cause apparently that was too nice and they made up instantly.

I also had a lazy villager comment on my birthday’s matching numbers, but it was February 2nd. It doesn’t need to be the 22nd.

Something v cute that happened last year was when a friend visited my island the day after thier birthday, all of my then-villagers (Ive got. Four of them now, I think) wished them a belated happy birthday! Also, I've had the dialogue of gifting the same clothes they're wearing to a villager by accident. It was buck, and he's great :D

"Cool to see they never removed [villagers visiting your home] completely. Now re-add it to the game, cowards." Not sure if that would be considered having aged well or not. But I'd argue it aged the perfect amount.
