5 жыл бұрын"Get Ready" is a Motown song written by Smokey Robinson, which resulted in two hit records for the label: a U.S. No. 29 version by The Temptations in 1966, and a U.S. No. 4 version by Rare Earth in 1970. Their 45 RPM single version sold in excess of a million U.S. copies, earning Rare Earth a Gold certification from the RIAA. (Wikipedia)

I fondly remember those days when we sat cross-legged together and circled a water pipe in a group while Rare Earth music played loudly on the stereo. It was always a great time!

63 now. Bought the live double album when it came out. Yeah the knapsack cover. Still got it with plastic cover. Best music came out in the 60s, 70s and early 80s. Glad to have grown up in that era., when the music was real and your spirit was free loving. From pmburg, south Africa. The best years of our lives ❤️😊

I'm 73 and i have that Album too. I saw them in concert opening for Sly and the Family Stone. They played for an hour. Sly was late and when they did show he was so stoned that we booed him off the stage. Rare Earth came back at and played another hour. Madison square garden, NYC

It's no longer the same mindset as we had in the 60s & early 70s, not that we don't have some fine players out there these days , you just have to search for them & like the old days get turned on to bands & players from friends as you just won't hear this music in full on any radio station even the ones you have to pay for. As a long time guitar player i would like to share a track i did back in my school days but didn't get to record it till 87 & on a 4 track Reel to Reel . @@cosmo1eleven855 they made great music tho. If you were a fan back then you followed their career. I did the same with other bands. I followed Savoy Brown until Kim Simmonds passed. Until then tho, they were the longest running blues band in the world. I did the same with Canned Heat but that was a very tragic story. It's all good tho.

In those times a song could last for years. I remember dancing to that in 1973/74, along with "Going home" from Ten Years After or Papa Was a Rolling Stone by the Temptations. Going Home was sports training and this one set me in trance - somehow ;-)

I was 13 years old in 1970,everyone was a drummer or guitar 🎸 player, but when I first heard John Persh's bass solo on this album, that's when I picked up the bass .Rare Earth is a bad asa live jam band!! I'm glad l got to see them at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, California, when I was a J R. In H.S great concert!!

Get Ready, je le suis cet album mythique n'a pas pris une ride, un groupe de légende comme on en fait plus, j'ai maintenant presque 65 ans, que du bonheur car écouter ce morceau me fait basculer vers mes jeunes années, merci
