These bunch of talented crazy musicians made the 70s special. Norman Whitfield was indeed the right producer that brought these great guys to the music world. Never forget Motown Records who signed them as the only white group amongst solely black musicians. I can never get tired of listening to Rare Earth till I die.

You are 100% right. Heard them for first time, summer before 7th grade, 1968. Everyone thought they were Black being on the Motown Label and having that soulful sound🤙

I love Rare Earth, from the 1st time I listened to their debut album Get Ready, when I was 13 years old. This a darn great album when it came out in 1973,the problem was it didn't get any air play, it wasn't commercial enough for the D.J.s I saw them live in 73 in Sacramento. Over 2 hours of non stop hits 😴🙃😪😑

Very under rated band, Motown didn't really know what to do with them, BUT, then came Norman Whitfield with some of his songs, and arrangements, which produced this amazing hybrid sound of funk/rock. Rare Earth's other claim to fame is that, as far as I am aware, they were the only act at Motown to have a label named after them.
