This song playing on a thousand dollar stereo setup, bass turned up, the band crawls inside your head and makes itself at home. You are one with the music. 5 or 6 guys in the room , no one saying a word, all just knodding our heads to the beat. Thousands of miles away from home, but we are at peace with the world.

But real music NEVER dies and this is an example of talented musicians / writers making REAL music that's timeless. In in my late 60's now and still enjoy listening to Rare Earth. Used to drag up and down main street on a Friday night and all I really liked to listen to was this band and Grand Funk Railroad on my 8 track through some Kraco speakers. Say what you want, but I think we had the best Rock 'n' Roll in the 70's.

I remember loving this song, and babysitting and helping my mom clean base housing.... she took me to a a record/album shop in Sausalito... I wanted this album. I still have it today.... determination, appreciation, and a good, patient mamma. She took me there to get my most wanted album, even though she was working hard, to6 - my dad was in the Marines, and was in Vietnam 3 times, and overseas a lot... Okinawa, Philippines, etc. This song has lived with me forever ❤❤💙💙

I was 11 almost 12 when I first heard Rare Earth back in 1970. Pete and the men of this band blew me away. Pete the great drummer he is, could also belt out a tune. Especially on this song. Now that's talent to play drums and also sing. John Parrish (Persh) killed it on the bass. His solo knocked my boots off. It's a shame he was an underrated bass player. Every one got a turn to solo on this song to show their skills and talent. Great job. My favorite song ever in my life time and I'm now 65.

Saw most of original members in middle of a new minor league baseball field , only a stones throw up from Mississippi River. Drizzled light rain, nobody cared. Only 100 people at most and the wife and me. Sugar Loaf, Uriah Heep, Spencer Davis. Danced, played, danced some more & more. A groovy vibe for those who stayed. Best 3 HR free flow jam session and happening to this day. People getting off on vibe and jam. None better at genre than Rare Earth.

This is one of the all time greatest groups, the drummer and his solo inspired me to start playing the drums. I've been a drummer self taught for over 56 years, I started playing self taught at 10 yrs old and am still playing now. I miss these guys real musicians!!!!

I've been playing drums since 1966 and I always enjoy listening to the drummer executing one heck of a brilliant solo! Forget all the fancy, technical stuff, this guy doesn't need it! He just plays what he feels, Yeeeeah!

Saw Rare Earth at my hometown armory. That be had to be fifty years ago - unbelievable! I was fifteen going from middle school to High School and I still remember their performance.

Master Classic album "Get Ready" from legendary Motown Rare Earth: their Epic jams are spellbinding whirling grooves that touch the Soul.👏😄 I'll always treasure seeing this Original Classic lineup of Musicians: 🌟 Kenny James-Keyboards, John Parrish-Persh-Bass, Gil Bridges-Woodwinds, Rod Richards-Guitars, Peter Rivera (Hoorelbeke)-Drums/Lead Vocals & Ed Guzman-Percussion in the Summer 1969 San Francisco near the Beach by Playland. It was a "treasure" honour to see RARE EARTH rehearse for an Concert Gig in this huge Music Hall and to be greeted by the Bassist John.🎶😘Wow!! Although we did not stay for the grand live Event for our Mother felt we were too young (I was 10 & my sis 12) to be at a Concert. I'll never will forget that "awesome" day in '69.-💜💫 Also recall their first TV appearance on Dick Clark's American Bandstand (late '69 or early '70) they performed "Get Ready" & "In Bed" and when the💎Ecology album came out their performed on the Ed Sullivan Show (Icon Host): Rare Earth performed "I Know I'm losing You" with these Ice Skaters swirling😒around them. I didn't dig the skaters ..but RARE EARTH were "fabulous"!! Out of all the RARE EARTH albums "Get Ready, Ecology, One World, Ma & Band Together" are my top five favorite "close to Heart" Studio albums. RARE EARTH In Concert with legendary🌟lineup John, Ed, Peter, Gil, Ray Monette-Guitars & Mark Olsen-Keyboards 1971 Live is another Classic 💎 performance. RARE EARTH appeared numerous times on the Don Kirshener Rock Concert & Midnight Special (Host Wolfman Jack) & their last TV appearance that I know of is in 1978 on Dick Clark's American Bandstand, they RARE EARTH🌟Peter, Gil, Ed, Ray, Mark & Mike Urso-Bass performed "Warm Ride & Love Do Me Right Now" .."Cool.-🌻🍥👏
