One of my 90s movie guilty pleasures is Ridley Scott's '1492: Conquest of Paradise'. There's yet to be a blu-ray release with good extras or a commentary track from Sir Ridley so I've edited all the footage I've collected over the years; interviews, trailers, rare documentaries and production artwork into this unofficial 'bonus feature'.

I saw 1492 during the first lock down. The movie is for adults and has lots of darkness but it's a beautiful movie. Very underrated.

Yeah, it's the one film of Ridley's without his commentary track or extensive 'making of'.

The most underrated ridley scott movie 100 times better than the other versions with one of the greatest score in a movie of all time just because of the score is worth the price of admission in the theater

I saw this on Netflix a few years ago. I thought it was quite good and well made. It's not a great movie, but there's a lot to enjoy..

I was teen when I watched it in a movie house and... wow!!! So the last part is a bit violent for me, but I really enjoyed. Depardieu, Sigourney, Karyo... the music of Vangelis... really in my top 10 for ever! Some scenes were far from history...so, this is a movie. In my favorite Depardieu's character with Monte-Cristo and Germain Chaze.

ONE OF THE BEST SCORES EVER WRITTEN. TOO BAD MOST OF IT WAS NOT USED IN THE FILM.

Hollywood need to make a great trilogy of sorts of a Columbus movie done right. Not rushed or inaccuracies gotta make it as authentic as possible with a great score like this one. I don’t wanna hear the bs on what Columbus is looked at now.

@@lunaliberiana NEITHER. Genoa was not part of italy but an independent kingdom with different language too. Spain was the only enterpriser.

Italy and Portugesse LIARS. It was a totally Spanish Enterprise. Columbus lived and had family in Spain last 7 years, rejected genoa and portugal too. Dam jealous dirtyliars.

As a Dominican with Taino heritage I find it one of the worst Columbus depicted stories ever. Yet its also one of Ridleys best for me after Blade Runner. Not to mention the late legend Vangelis.

In alternativa, lì , in quel luogo sarà messo in cantiere un progetto preliminare , per far sorgere un Centro Direzione Commerciale ( " Dalla Città di Avellino inizierà l'input" , con la benedizione della Dea Fortuna ! Probably the best worst movie I've ever seen. It's so bad it's hilarious and becomes good again, but the score is amazing. I heard rumors of a troubled production and messy rewrites...
