Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't RuPaul's whole aesthetic being a gorgeous, fierce and stunning model? He's never struck me as much of a dancer or even an amazing lip syncher. He hosts with a fierce but welcoming personality. He models beautifully and owns the stage. But idk if she's been the type to death drop and twirl even in her younger days. There's many ways to drag. This is how she does hers.

I cant believe some people really think Ru hasn't done much, he's done music, movies, and hosted his own talk shows years before he ever though of doing Drag Race. Also his drag persona has always been more about strutting n modeling, not dancing n death dropping.

Remind me of how Bianca used to just sashay to the center, stand and doing some "i don't even want to be here" voguing while the others queens doing a full chareograpy around her 😂 . People are so fixated on split and death drop that they forget not all queen are dancing queen.

K Whodostuff fracking: www.google.ca/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2020/mar/21/rupaul-fracking-wyoming-ranch-land-oil as for the transphobic allegations you can look into it as there is plenty of proof that he is transphobic but rupaul said in an interview that being a trans woman on drag race is comparable to “doping in the olympics”. This is harmful for anyone who identifys as female and participates isn’t he art of drag, cis or trans but especially trans women. It also pushes the idea that drag can only be cis men dressing up as women which is so untrue and a very limited way to view the concept and the limitlessness of drag. finally, drag race has had trans contestants but only pre-transition contestants on the show (it’s worth pointing out that production probably didn’t know they were trans as some revealed it on the show which shocked ru: monica beverly hillz and peppermint. while the rest revealed it after: sonique, carmen carrera, stacy lane matthews i think, gia gunn etc.) none of them presented/some didn’t even identify as female on the show. gia gunn was post transition on AS4 but 1) she was already an alumni and it was clear that ru brought her back as a token trans competitor because he was getting a lot of backlash from fans about his transphobic nature around the time of AS4 casting and 2) she was portrayed as a villain pretty extensively by editing even though yes she was shady but they really took it to the nth degree to make sure she had a bad showing on the season.... even if her snatch game was horrendous.

Ramon Bristot a lot of these new queens are all looks no talent. the part that kills me is many of them wouldn’t know what drag was without Ru. He aided in making drag main stream, he & that generation of drag performers paved a road where there wasn’t one. & for that he could show up looking like Whitney at Clive Davis’ party & should still be respected
@missybarcus39534 жыл бұрын
Ru Paul laid the tracks for all the Queens of today. Shade throwers dnt know what he had to go through so that their lives could be easy, celebrated, and free. I was a child in the 80' and 90's and I heard what people were saying not only about gay people, but black people as well, and it was cringe worthy and shameful, so think about that when you want to cut someone down because they've aged and still do their craft along side you "young-uns". Now you can thank him🙂

It's a shame that a 44 yrs young hetero lady like myself, appreciates, adores, and admires The Artistry of Drag and the history of the LGBT Community, way more than some of the ppl within both communities! Mama Ru, you don't have to prove a mothertuckin' thing to *anyone*. Ru has earned her stripes. *No one* has contributed more to drag than Mama Ru: She singlehandedly made drag a worldwide phenomenon, launched the careers of 100+ queens (and counting!), and, with Drag Race, helped turn "drag" from a novelty to a globally-recognized art form that is consumed, adored, and respected by millions. Not to mention all the young people Ru empowers bc they see drag/gay culture represented (minus the obnoxious stereotypes) like never before on TV. So, as far as this video is concerned, imo, RuPaul has earned the right to just stand there & allow the rest of us to bask in her presence.
