It's time to spotlight a rare parade at Disney World's Magic Kingdom. On days when it rains and the Festival of Fantasy parade is canceled, all the performers and Disney characters come out for a special rare rainy day parade. The parade's official name is the Rainy Day Cavalcade parade, it features a catchy song and is only performed when Magic Kingdom's scheduled parade is canceled. I like how the cast members in the parade can just do whatever they like instead of a set choreography. Really is exciting to see.

I never knew they did that, so very interesting to see they have that contingency for rainy days over there. Any idea if they do that for the other parks around the world or is it just Magic Kingdom? But it was a nice parade, though short, and I'm glad Goofy didn't slip in that routine, lol. Another great video, loved it!

JudexRigby42 Tokyo Disneyland has a rain alternative to Electric Light Parade called Nightfall Glow. It has actual floats and an original soundtrack.

The main song you hear is called "Trickle Trickle" first recorded in 1958 by a group called The Videos. The other song is, of course, "Singin' in the Rain", first introduced by Cliff "Ukulele Ike" Edwards (the original voice of Jiminy Cricket) and the Brox Sisters in _The Hollywood Revue of 1929,_ but made more famous by Gene Kelly in the film of the same name.

I went to Disney World for the first time a few weeks ago. It was cloudy and rainy all three days. It downpoured the first day in the middle of the day as we left Philharmagic. I wish I seen this parade. At least we got to do the dancing parade. I danced with Baloo. 😊

I've never seen this parade, but living in Florida I'm not surprised it exists as it really does rain literally every afternoon in the summer.

Saw it IRL last Sunday - while waiting for the Festival of Fantasy Parade, I met a British family in front of Cinderella Castle. Told them earlier that the Rainy Day Cavalcade would supplant it, though they left after all that waiting. Moved near the Hall of Presidents to anticipate that never-before-seen-to-me procession - I was right! WELL WORTH IT!

I missed this in April when I was there for my sister's birthday! My brother in law, his brother and mom went to try and ride Seven Dwarf's Mine train instead! I miss the cool stuff but the video is great!!!

I remember going to Magic Kingdom on a rainy day and seeing this happening. I just thought to myself: “What the heck is going on over there?” And went to get fast passes. I wish I took the time to see it!

When I was younger they didn't have a rainy day parade. The parade just got cancelled. I was so disappointed because it rained and we were only there for one day. That was 24 years ago.

I saw the Rainy Cavalcade on my birthday! We were there for 4 days and it was sunshiny and warm 3 of the 4 days, but rained one of those mornings! It was super special seeing this wonderful and rare parade in person! :)

Oh my gosh my family and I waited for a full hour for FoF and once it was cancelled I fully expected to leave empty handed in terms of parades but the calvacade was such a nice surprise and really shows how much Disney cares about customer experiences to me.

I actually went to Walt Disney World while it was raining, but I was waiting in a line to get on a ride, I had NO idea that the Rainy Day Parade even existed! I would’ve went to the parade! The next time I go to Walt Disney World, I hope it rains so I can see the Rainy Day Parade.

they actually have several different "rain" variations on the parade. if the parade has already started and the ground becomes too wet, they will alter it so that the dancers will simply walk in lines for their safety. this particular parade is used if the ground is too wet before the parade. but if their is lightning in the area, they will put all the characters on the big bus because it's too dangerous to have them out in the open.

The last time I was at Disney World, the Rainy Day Cavalcade was happening after it rained for a bit at the park. But I was in line to meet Merida so I didn't get to see it. I was able to hear the music though.

This is very clever cause Disney wants everyone to have a magical day and this is putting a positive spin on something that could spoil someones visit
