One of the few episodes that was in the Applejack switch this time around. Even Celestia was like "Bruh, why didn't you listen to Applejack?" I also commend the students for them holding back their fangasms when Celestia was right next to them. I would have lost it.

Am i the only one that was already thinking what Starlight said about Twilight's not being a "princess princess", because she doesn't have that royal "air" or demeanor about her that could make you feel intimidated by her, like with how Luna does? Sunburst indirectly pointed that out too in "Uncommon Bond" (must be one more thing him and Starlight has in common lol) I'd laughed even harder if Starlight said "Well exuuuuse me princess!" after seeing Twilight's reaction to her saying she's not a "princess princess". Fluttershy seems very skilled at method acting. The Joker would be proud.

I particularly enjoy the nuances they put into the background, such as Starlight comforting a terrified Fluttershy after the fireworks go off, or Luna being highly unamused at Celestia raising the sun in the middle of Luna's night. Also, maybe it's just that I like to think of Celestia as some grand chessmaster who has things planned out way in advance, but it seems to me she was in fact a fine actress (I mean, 1000 years of politics would kinda impart that), and she was just leading Twilight along to teach her a lesson.

Well, DWK made a recap about Fake it Till You Make It and somehow it made more sense than the actual episode.

I did like this episode, very fun and a good followup from the last one. Having this much of a good time with Celestia should be a crime because she was really great here!

If the natural order managed to survive the Storm King's little fun time then I guess Celestia raising the sun a little early wouldn't be much of a problem.

Being a theater kid myself this is painfully familiar, more so than than their con parady's as I can never afford to go to one.

The only way this episode could have been better is if they actually made Starlight the “Princess.” Seeing Celestia troll the entire fandom would have been amazing.

What I liked about this episode: Celestia being comfortable in front of Twilight to let her gaurd down and prance around The young 6 were included The party howitzer "Big Bertha" Applejack reminding Twilight of honesty The improv was pricless Celestia being genuinely mad at Twilight, and Twilight feeling the consequences of her actions Celestia stepping in and making the play work. Fluttershy's panic attack of playing Cdlestia while Celestia is watching Celestia giving Flutters the tools she needed to get over her anxiety. Luna's expression when Celestia raised the actual sun, destroying her perfext evening Celestia is best troll - something I've been saying since "Forgotten Frendship". Nichole doing a great job at bad acting. What I didn't like or went, "huh?" Starlight getting worked up working with a pruncess. Wee know she doean't put on heirs just because she is in the presence of royalty. She remains respectful, but not afraid to treat them as a normal pony. Luna wasn't mentioned in the play Celestia raising the sun, but refused to help Twilight set it up for the festival in the movie. Twilight's family wasn't there. Overall, I really liked this episode. I can't wait to see DWK's or Littleshy's take on it.

Holy crap, we're in sync with our feelings on the episode again!😅 One thing I will say is that I felt the substitute sun subplot to be worthwhile in terms of comedic payoff - with the balloon, Rarity's line "It's the perfect substitute" is said so ecstatically that it makes her subsequent dejected delivery of "It _was_ the perfect substitute..." rather hilarious; Twilight's line "Do I even wanna know?" right before the marshmallow thing is gold; and then Pinkie's line about getting untested magical fireworks in a back alley from Trixie at midnight is probably my favorite line of the season, as well as one of my favorites from the entire show. I think that's what this episode did really well - just a lot of great humor throughout. It was a blast of almost pure fun, through and through (but without undermining the weight of that Celestia-Twilight scene)

Princess Celery is best Princess

After watching this episode, the 2017 movie, all the times Twilight neglected Spike, remembering No Second Prances, and Shadow Play parts 1 and 2, it has come to my realization that Twilight has proven herself unworthy of being a princess.

The part that felt weird, the sun, had a key point: Celestia still had a way to partake in the play by the end of it, which was part of the whole point of including her.
