In this video I go through the steps to configure your Raspberry Pi to be used "headless", meaning not connected to a monitor. We do this by enabling the VNC Server on the Pi and installing the VNC Viewer app on any tablet, smart phone or even your PC. I use the Raspbian Buster with Desktop version since this Pi will be for field use for my Amateur Radio equipment.
Download VNC Viewer here - www.realvnc.com/en/connect/do...
Or find it on the app store for your device.
This is part 2 in a series that will get a Raspberry Pi ready for use for emergency, off-grid, and recreational field communications when no commercial power is available.
This is a great choice for it's size and computing power for the needs of the Ham Radio Operator in the field.
Equipment in the shack:
Raspberry Pi 3B+ - amzn.to/2XxQ73l
32GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSD Card - amzn.to/2lgElrM
Yaesu FT450D
Tigertronics SignaLink
Homemade Dual Band Dipole antenna
For power in the field, I use a 15ah LiFEPO4 battery solar powered setup.
