That's the truth FG.. I was murdered with the gory NodeRed details on other channels before I even knew how it was suppose to work (actually I never did get the big picture, until now). This video was spot on. Cheers

This is a great tutorial! Thank you. Would you consider doing a similar one for controlling an RC Servo from Node-RED? I would love to know how to control the servo angle from a dashboard and also chart the angle over time for playback/repeat.

same thing, different calculation. This article should point you in the right direction: www.learnrobotics.org/blog/raspberry-pi-servo-motor/ honestly wouldn't be surprised if NODE-RED has a servo library off the shelf now. could be worth investigating once you understand the math behind it

I HAVE done the same thing but the gpio out pin alsways shows that NOT APPLICABLE or N/A. nothing happens in the actual relay. am i missing any configuration for GPIO ?

I believe all the device has to be connected on the same network, is there any way where we can control from different network

I think there's an option to set up a static IP through your router. You'll have to search the docs for the setup guide.

Look for examples of I2C communication and then adapt them to match the message formats you need.

I know absolutely nothing about Node Red, which is why I'm here, But why would you use a string to send a boolean? There was a boolean option

You probably can. I would test it out. If you look at the payload doc for rpi-gpio out, it allows a number, string, or boolean. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p6yGo9GnvNOUdn0.html
