RAT INFESTATION - Vanlife Germany
Parking out self built campervan along the beautiful River Rhine in a rat infested car park was not the plan however we did make light of it and enjoy the company.
Despite the unexpected company, we managed to find some silver linings. Join us as we share the highlights of our stay, including mesmerizing ship and boat sightings, and the surprisingly peaceful night's sleep we had.

"Travel with Gary and Amika"
Welcome to the Official Travel with Gary and Amika KZfaq Channel, a father daughter combo capturing campervan style travel vlogs in and around the mountains, beaches, campsites and wild camping fully off grid.
Gary is dedicated to his daughters future and enjoys documenting her passion for life, which is apparent through Amikas constant giggling and smiles. He is well travelled having visited some 39 countries, however this quickly became difficult to continue when Amika was born. With his love for travel he wasnt going to let being a single father tie him down. When Amika was just 5 they jumped on a plane and backpacked around Romania and have since visited France and Spain twice exploring the Pyrenees mountain range.
In January 2022 Gary bought on old builders van and converted into a fully off grid tiny home on wheels with the aim of getting out and about as much as possible to see more of the world. KZfaq seemed the perfect way to documented these travels and to take a step into the world of becoming a digital nomad.
Gary and Amika both thank you for being here and hope that through their videos they can bring you a sense of adventure, a lots of laughter and with a clear message that you should never grow up and never take life too seriously!

Amelia as cute as ever. Germany, haven’t been for about thirty years. Used to compete there in Taekwondo tournaments (full contact before we turned it to tip tap). I found the people to be welcoming, warm and friendly. Would like to go back and this time visit Oznerbruck (pardon my spelling), where my dad was posted for many years in the 60s.

@@TravelwithGaryandAmika Taekwondo was the best thing I ever did as a young lad. Got to train at elite levels and travel. Drinking in a bar at the end of the tournament. Nobody truly understanding each other (Japanese, Chinese, German, Belgium …..) yet the the beer flowed, the laughter roared and and a calm contentment proliferated. Breaks my heart to see the scenes from Ukraine. I teach for an online international school and have students from all over the world including Russia and Ukraine in the same classes as each other - they get in and call each other friend - so humbling. Lessons could and should be learned from the young.

❤ nice video that Gary. Thank you. Noticed you were wearing your regimental T-shirt, were you feeling ok? (You said in a previous vlog that if we see you wearing that you are probably dealing with something). Amika is growing up beautifully!! Can’t wait to finally meet you both. I am excited to see what is coming on this new travel vacation. The ferry looked like it was very large. Hope it was smooth sailing. I know that things will work out with the job. It’s nice that Amika is making memories with her Mum, that’s good for both of them. Nice for you to have some time to yourself as well. Regarding employment, have you considered recruitment agencies. I did temp work for about 3 years many years ago and I really enjoyed it. Have a great time in germany 🇩🇪 😊

@@TravelwithGaryandAmika with temp work you can pick and choose what work you want to do. Downside is lower pay though. Maybe start your own business.
