That is very cool. I've seen similar set ups before but with a fishing weight added to the cable. When the rat gets caught and struggles, the weight gets released and pulls him off the beam, then sides down the cable, and tightens the noose more, and subdued the rat quicker.

that is just a standard mini lock , what about a small cam lock , thanks for putting this out i needed something to do and this looks like fun.
