there's actually a term for that! those kind of marriages are called 'lavender marriages', where a gay (or bi) man will marry a lesbian (or bi) woman to conceal their sexual orientation. it mostly happened with Hollywood actors since homosexuality was very taboo

I felt so bad for Ratched and all her internalized homophobia, because Gwendolyn truly made her happy and really accepted her for who she was, and was unashamed about how much she loved her, but Ratched couldn't let herself accept her affection :(

Different times and lots of homophobes are cryptohomo actually. She was homophobic at the beginning, but then started to discover that she is lesbian herself and started to accept it, even if she was fighting it at the beginning. I like such plot, quite real, to be honest. Just pitty less people in reality accept who they are

It's nice to live in this day and age where you can be with someone who's the same or opposite sex and you're not crucified over it. You can be bisexual and not burned at the stake. My home state Montana STILL can be very judgemental and hateful but it's NOTHING like it once was. Love is Love plain n simply!!

At the tops, people are intolerant (which is unfortunate) but saying "biphobia", "transphobia". It's the same with "fatphobia", I'm not scared of fat people, I think promoting overweight is not body positivity, it's promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. I'm not fatphobic because of that. It is almost the same as people who don't accept bisexuality - they don't have a phobia, they're intolerant
