the "roughness" on the side of the gearwrench spanners is so you dont have to waste time looking for the direction arrow!

For 500 bucks that snapon set better blow more then the case! I tell ya brother that flex end set is very very tempting my biggest concern is getting warranty in Canada. SP has been super soild supporting KZfaq guys🤔

I work on heavy machinery in Australia. My SP tools have been very good. The ring end on the combination spanners will out do flank drive wrench. I have proven it a number of times. The quad drive open end with the teeth are as good as flank drive plus.

11 piece metric set is now 250.00 non flex head. These are made in Taiwan tools which you should have mentioned because that is very important to buyers.A lot of made in taiwan tools are very close in quality with a wide price range for the same tool. If you compare SP ratchet wrenches to Westward ratchet wrenches you will find they are nearly identical...Except the westward wrenches are half the price. Most of SP is just way to much money when you can find comparable tools for half the price. Some of the prices are just downright RIDICULOUS for a Taiwan tool.Like a phillips screwdriver that is more money than a Wera or USA made Williams screwdriver. No way would I choose SP tools for 90 percent of their products.

Awesome video ive never looked into SP products. Bought a full set of the tekton flex ratchet wrenches last year they've held up pretty good mainly went with tekton because they're 6 point couldnt find any other decent priced set in 6pt flex head. Might have to check out SP on the next purchase...

I have to admit, wrenches are my weak tool point. Most of my collection is Duralast(AutoZone), Pittsburgh, Husky, and a dash of Snap-on. I can't spend $500 on one set of wrenches. What I have gets the job done in a timely manner, but I enjoyed the review & may consider a set of SP wrenches in the future. Thanks Rustbelt! 👍👍

Nice comparison. With the seven piece gearwrench flex set did you ever have any issues with the ratcheting-end becoming floppy? If so, did tightening the allen screw eleviate the issue? Same protocol for the new SP flex ratcheting set... Thanks

Over the 8 or so years I’ve had to tighten the heads of the GearWrench ones from time to time. But through the few weeks of use with the SP wrenches I’ve not had to tighten anything yet.

Great video, that indent groove on the open end of the sp10311 is called a flank drive and I want to buy it soo bad and they don't sell it in Australia and I can't find it on the USA website. But I'm determined!!!!!! That flank drive is indispensible and inexpensive.

The knurling on the edge of the Gearwrench flex head ratcheting wrench isn't a mistake or machining error. It's there to show you the direction to pull in. you should try Tekton if you want great ratcheting wrenches at much better pricing.
