HomiJuanObi probably big enough City. I drove down to Oakland California. It was my understanding he doesn't get out to the West Coast often. He didn't open, but was the first of 8 known name acts. Rugged man was one of the most underrated lyricists in rap back before Eminem even got into the battle scene. He was one of the first white rappers that got record deal and almost broke the black only mindset in the industry at the time but he legit partied so hard they let him go and decided not to promote him. He also had been ripped by some large producers more then once. He deserved this win

Really? I thought the whole message was the contrary, he was parodying mainstream celebrities that part was obvious and the bit where he dies and those random hollywood actors just try to play it off like nothing happened and try to move your attention to this "new" celebrity who came out of the blue. Why were random strangers surrounding the baby as if its done anything worth noticing? Isnt that a bit odd? IMO he was saying how the media artificially creates these "celebrities" who say they had a rough life and what not and if they "could do it then so could you" except unlike everyone else, they were literally made into celebrities by the corporate media. They just say that "you can be famous too" bs to give the normies false hope and distract them from the fact that their life is hell. Which is also because of corruption by the same group, who only cares about the root of all evil (hint:$$$) and values their power and temporary lifestyle over this world and its inhabitants. This mindset is the justification for majority toxic pollution that's already caused mass extinctions in the past 100 years alone. "Why should I care about what will happen in a thousand years? I'll be long gone by then." :/

@@crazytrain7721 lol yea it’s 95% effort and 5% luck. If you’re talking to people at shows, you’re going to run into talent scouts at least you’re doing something you loved. Also not everyone wants to be super famous, my doctor plays bass in a jazz band and they’re perfectly happy doing small shows at bars. I played in a punk band and we had a lot of connections to people in Fat Wreck Chords. Had the lead singer not gotten addicted to heroin and caused the band to break up, we would have eventually gotten signed to them or another punk label. It’s about what you find creatively fulfilling, not the money.

I love this so much. Without going into too much, let's just say that I know the real RA, the wonderful father and son. He is so brilliant, even in his grandiose moments, he can still not take himself too seriously. He can turn the crazy, provocative, and offensive into the uplifting, illuminating, and profound. My dream day would be to just follow him around and see how he does it all. In his words and music, it's obvious he has seen the ugly side of this world. How he copes is to make it his happy existence. We should all learn from him. RA, I am so glad to know you.

Love the death/rebirth metaphor RA. The young wild crazy RA reborn into the more mature, refined father (maybe still a little crazy) and how that metaphor parallels your own career. That is the oppression of the corporate music industry putting you down early on but now back on top as a more mature RA while never compromising your art for $$$. That is some deep heavy stuff.

Idk that’s really subjective in this case. He’s definitely very skilled at what he does, but that early 2000s cartoony rap didn’t age well. D12, Obie Trice and others singles don’t get play anymore. Only ones that do really are some of Eminem’s with his Slim Shady persona, and maybe Redman once in a while... Lol I do see there’s over a million views here now though so people must be on a nostalgia trip I guess... I still feel like this song is missing the best part of what made most of those songs good - a hook. The chorus here is weird it’s not really catchy with him just starting and stopping the words in a weird timing and order...
