I never realized how lore accurate solo only is… using the echo to see every possible permutation of a fight until he sees the one line that results in victory, and having to fight the primals alone because no one else can do it

I like the implication that things moved so quickly that Estinien never found the time to shower and the speed of doing stuff is why Nidhogg was able to take over Estinien. It sort of continues the trend that Alphinaud established that in his haste to make an NGO that deal with Eorzean issues, he concocted the perfect army to help Teledji Adeledji.

Estinien doesnt shower is funny but ishgardians as a whole canonically don't shower that much, ishgard res has you gather soap and it has flavor text about how it often goes unused, so that conspiracy has more weight then it should lol

Must admit I hate the Esti doesn't shower thing(especially since in the Foundation we have CANON TALK of him going to the baths there). Alphinaud is buoyant is hilarious given the boy's issues with swimming.

The Estinien doesn't bathe thing really comes from the fact that he spends so so so much of the plot covered in Nidhogg's blood without cleaning it off and it's like. Bruh. Clean your armour you wear that like 24/7. He does shower, he just... really needs to clean his shit.

Given his spear still had enough flecks of blood on it by the time of Endwalker that a hive of alchemists were awoken simply by the scent of it... I think Estinien just needs to be reminded how to care for his equipment. @@LowIntSpecimen

@@LaZodiacNo, he genuinely textually tries to remove it (it's in optional dialogue) and it's just bonded with the armor and he doesn't know how to remove it. He's a soldier, he know how to care for his gear, it just doesn't help because he doesn't have tools to deal with First Brood blood

My favorite conspiracy theory is that loud vacuum cleaners only exist because people don't think they're working correctly if they aren't loud. Same with soap, it doesn't actually have to bubble up to work effectively, but I like soap bubbles so they can stay.

My favorite sandwich is a buffalo chicken foot long from Subway. Add on any white cheese, bacon, small amount of lettuce, lots of onions, green peppers, tomatoes, and then their southwest sauce. Little bit of salt and pepper and parmesan cheese. I ate it everyday for breakfast when I stood security watch on the water front when I was shore duty waiting to be discharged from the US Navy. I can't get it at my local subway, for whatever reason, so I opt to get Chicken teriyaki or shredded steak with a streak of buffalo sauce on them here instead. Also, small correction, afaik there is no other way to get the i180 and i210 versions of those armors outside of Centurio seals, because they were removed from the Idyllshire vendors entirely, much in the same way that Ronkan gear and Lost Allagan gear was in later expansions.

Solo Season 2 let's goooooooo! Ravana is such a satisfying fight casually (especially compared to Bismark), but damn is he generous with those vulns. But with the ominous ending, and remembering the jail on Nidhogg (and wondering how that even works solo)... oh geez, I'm so sorry Rath. Good luck on Fishing (Ultimate) as well (idk if you got through that, I'm terrible at catching streams *and* the legendary fish >.< ) also, I thought I heard Dragon Quest IX music in season 1, but I wasn't sure. That first scene in the inn though, that music just clobbered me over the head with nostalgia ❤

Yep there's plenty of tough solo challenges ahead. Nidhogg's jails, Bismarck's adds that need to be split or else they're practically invincible, and when we get to Stormblood there's Susano who I'm pretty sure is literally impossible without a second person at least... Looking forward to seeing how we tackle all of these (and the ones I'm probably forgetting!)

Also probably want Decimate from level 60 WAR quest. Not nearly as big of a deal as the healing but damage is damage, especially when you get to higher levels and can use it more often.

small consideration, nin/rogue would probably help with item grinding considering mug has an added bonus of higher item drop chance! I hated farming out enemies in the HW areas, glad to finally see ya tackling the expac >:D

Mug actually only has the chance to increase the amount of item you get if you successfully get the item, it doesnt increase the chance to get a drop.

I got a feeling if you somehow make it through everything, once you get to Susano, you can't progress further without 1 other person due to the sword. Also a tip for Blu. Final Sting hits harder than explosion. Whistle + moon flute + final sting can oneshot some bosses if it crits/DHs.

Feast of famine is a fishing quest, one of the more difficult ones requiring some very picky fish. It was an incentive for a stream I did on my birthday last year where chat could force me to do feast of famine on solo, so I am doomed to this until it is complete

I think its important to note that specifically for Heavensward, Quests only gate access to 4 and half of the zones (though you get 1.5 of them immediately). I discovered on leveling an alt that once you have western highlands you can actually walk to the forelands and half the hinterlands immediately. You get locked out of the second half by quest progress in Idyllshire and Churning mists and Azys Lla is purely quest access only, Notably, Hardsilver ore is on the side of the river you have access to in the hinterlands. This is all gone by Stormblood where zonelines all have gatekeepers and often multiple inside the zones themselves.

So I have now checked and we cannot access the Hinterlands. The only areas you could get to it from are closed off fully until the MSQ is progressed.

Honestly, Ravana would approve of your tenacity and rejoicing in the glory of combat. Only a true warrior would prepare for 20 hours to fight him. Excellent video, milord. Also I haven't remembered every detail of the self imposed rules for blue mage but I'm guessing you're not touching Basic Instinct for soloing dungeons? They're still relatively challenging when you go in spell level order and not have any of the higher level spells (which you're doing here naturally as a consequence of your video series)

Blue mage is fully available, its just rhat blue mage on its own is locked out of doing the MSQ and we're locked out of the stronger spells until we reach stormblood / Shadowbringers

there’s no way estinien ever showers. we saw him without his armor in the endwalker patches and those clothes were nasty. though I think he would make an exception for visiting aymeric and take a long bubble bath beforehand (but firmly deny it).
