Shoutout to these amazing doctors for literally saving my skin. After watching all their acne-related videos, I got finally convinced to try out retinoids. I just lifted everything to the great divine, just in case it didn't work for me. Two months on and I already see visible results - my face looks waaaay clearer, got rid of the small bumps, previous hyperpigmentations almost gone, and so far, I haven't dealt with painful super-sized cyst acnes like I used to pre-retinoids. Also, not sure if retinoids have something to do with this, but I have also noticed that my skin has become less irritated and I now get less hives. I have never been so excited to doing my skincare because now, I see amazing results. Sending my warmest and tightest hugs to these heroes! Sending all the love from the Philippines 🤘❤

@@child_of_lilith Hi! For the first month, I followed their advice to do retinol every third day. For the following month, since I've noticed my skin hasn't adversely reacted to my actives, I tried it every night. So far, it has been good. I think the key is observing how your skin would react in the first month to know how you'd approach it.

The sand paper shaving hack seems like a dupe for an infomercial hair removal product from about 10 - 15 years ago, called "Smooth Away" or "Smooth Legs". It was basically a pieces of sand paper stuck onto a pink plastic handle and it mostly just scratched up your skin.

I really appreciate when you explain what’s happening on the cellular and molecular level and you explain it extremely well. I often think certain claims that are being made in advertisements and on social media use scientific language but don’t actually explain the mechanisms and that makes me think they’re mostly engaged in marketing. Idk if that’s too nerdy but I would definitely enjoy a video explaining how retinols actually work or why acids exfoliate our skin. Like walk me through it, I’d watch that for days on end.

Fun fact about using sandpaper on your legs, the ancient Romans probably used pumice stone to rub on their skin to get rid of body hair. They would also follow up with oils to moisturize their skin afterwards. They were OBSESSED with smooth skin - marble statues were goals in that time!

5:50 This actually depends on a stores decision of how it will accommodate and calculate food waste costs based off of one of three different assumptions: one is under the assumption all buyers will reach to the back first, second is under the assumption all buyers will reach to the middle first, and third is under the assumption that all buyers reach to the front first [when purchasing produce]. I learned this in basic accounting 🤓

Rarely used any products on my skin & now trying to learn what all these ingredients are, this acid, that acid, vitamin c, serums, etc. Intrigued to learn & understand what ya'll are saying, 😂. Right now, for me, deep pore cleanser, c serum, hydrating moisturizer. Need broadspectrum spf 30+ & want to add a retinoid. Gonna take a pic & see where I'm at in 3 then 6 mos. 😂 I may be a lost cause, so late in the game. However, I am finding it very nice to pamper & do my little routines every day, wish I had done it sooner. Teaching my 4 yr old little girl to do her routine with me. 😊 Love ya'll! Thank you! 😘

Hi Dr. I’m not sure if you’re gonna read this but I’ll say it anyway. I’ve followed your tips on skincare and for 3 months my skin actually improved, A LOT! Btw I have acne-prone skin and I really thought my battle against acne would finally come to an end. But then my period ruins everything. Ever since last month, I got more and more acne on my face, neck, chest, and my back. I’m really tired of this. Fyi, there isn’t a single dermatologist where I live. I went to the doctor (just regular clinic), and she gave me contraception pills and antibiotics. The antibiotics does help but I really don’t want to depend too much on it. I’m using adapalene every other day. I use chemical exfoliant. Salicylic acid face wash. Benzoyl peroxide. I really don’t know what else to do. I’m so frustrated right now.

The sandpaper thing works! Even on dry skin, it literally exfoliates it off with the hair and you’re surrounded with your own flaky skin. There even used to be a machine (from revlon?) that did this Back in the day. After I tried the machine I went to Menards and did the sandpaper, same thing! Pretty sure I didn’t use that fine of a grit though 🤪 I wouldn’t recommend it though. Trying to keep the skin barrier healthy here and shaving is also exfoliating!

I use hacks for things like cooking or decorating but not for my skin. I exclusively use my Artistry skin care and it works amazing.

I remember long time ago there was a device that was used for hair removal. It had a buffing pad but I don't think it was as abrasive as sand paper 😳 Can you do a video on scars (not acne)? Helping an woind not scar or minimizing already existing scars.

Hey guys! I loooooooove your content… just a small query, last week you posted the video about over priced skincare and you said that you’d do a follow up video on where we should spend more money in the skincare process… when will we see that video please? 😃😃😃
