Great video and thank you. I discovered the spray can Raptor liner is temp sensitive. I did my Saturn SL2 bumper covers this last summer and about 90'f outside. The finish came out with the rough finish we like. Today I just did the hood on my 1998 Chevy Tahoe in my garage anf temp 65'F. The finish came out rough and smooth and three coats. Heat is the answer for my discovery.

I haven't used Raptor Liner 'yet'. However I like the idea of having colors other than straight black available pre mixed (I like the matte army green or something similar). That way if I get a scratch or something. I could just respray a spot instead of a complete new paint job. Especially since I plan on using it on the outside of a car. Although I'm sure that there are other premixed from other companies. I was just curious about Raptor Liner durability and longevity.

I just used this on a boat trailer. I wire wheeled it, sanded it, wiped it with denatured alcohol, did an etch primer(let it dry appropriately), scuffed it with a scotch brite pad, wiped it with denatured alcohol it again, then applied it in 2-3 thin coats allowing it to dry 10-15 mins between coats (I cleared the spray nozzle with brake clean and shook the can constantly between coats). Also for texture, you have to spray it 12” minimum away. It can be a good product, my trailer turned out awesome. Spend the extra time on prep work, and I think he’s right, the temp can definitely affect the application. I sprayed it in 70-75 degree weather. It’s a decent Berliner spray from what I’ve seen. After 3-4 days it dried hard and looks great. It’s still relatively new, so time will tell, but so far I’m really happy with it.

The key if a good raptor liner application is the preparation of the substrate...sand it fully..prime and make sure it is all clean..then spray ..

I thought it was great and I've tried Hercules in that rustoleum and a few others and they are not near as good as raptor and take way more can's to coat as well.

Too close gotta be like 18-24 inches back to get the texture…what’s essentially happening when you back off a bit is some of the particles partially flash dry mid air and land onto the wet product that’s how you build your texture up…my suggestion would be get some scrap and just experiment with it I used the 2k on my Hondas valve cover and it came out mint looks basically like wrinkle paint
