MOISES F IZURIETA hi good video you made very instructive, I think for the reverse light hook up connecting it at the front of the car as shown in my video is much easier than connecting it at the rear of the car, but both ways work perfectly.. thanks again

Jonathan Hazlett hey thanks yes it works, you just can’t see the towbar, so when hooking up trailers it’s not as good as it could be.. so next time I’ll be putting in a different one more in the middle..

Mohammed Abdelkadir.. you should have a reverse trigger wire that connect to the back of your radio.. you can connect this wire to either the reverse lights at the back of the car or as shown in this video and my other video in more detail “reverse trigger wire finding” once you have connected this wire to your stereo it will know when you are in reverse and switch automatically to the camera input.. :)

You connect it to the backup light in the rear. Then whenever backup light comes on, its active. Should have instructions for that Peak camera does.

I bought a wireless one. Plug into "cigarette" plug. Other connection is to the backup light wire in the taillight

I bought the same camera and there is not brand name on mine neither.

I bought the same camera there is not model number and the instructions that came with my backup camera shows other kind of cameras and not this one but it shows how to make the connections and believe me the instruction book are not very good. But I can tell you that the connection to the backup light to power up the camera is very difficult to access to, but at the same time it is easier than the front connection. To me it was very easy to connect the backup camera to my radio. Toyota made it difficult for us, but we can still do it, hahaha . Other cars may have more access to the tail lights but the Rav4 is a lot of work. Good luck.

make sure you power up the unit with the camera connected.. it needs to sense the camera during first start up for it to work... if you have already put it all together might be easiest to pull the fuse or disconnect the battery for to seconds. if it still doesn't see the camera you will need to check your wiring and also ensure you have connected the reverse tigger cable.
