The fact that he didn't know that blue beetle has to deal with not trying to kill people the entire damn time shows his true arrogance. If he had ticked off blue beatle any more than he did he wouldn't be able to restrain himself, otherwise, the scarbe would probably just find it most efficient to just headshot him or stab for the throat. Instead, the scarab lashed out in anger using a mostly flashy, ineffective attack. That's really the only reason davian got off as easy as he did.

You know, that's the difference between Damian and Batman. Batman doesn't blatantly provoke or humiliate other members of the team. Or at least he stays within reason. Because he knows that any of his teammates can kick his ass easily. Despite his attitude, he respects the other members, and they respect him. Damian, on the other hand, has no respect for anyone else. He genuinely believes he's a weapon, but in reality he's just a kid with a katana. Facing alien forces and magic. The only reason he's still alive is because his teammates go easy on him. But he gets even more cocky because of it

i dont know much about damien wayne since i haven’t seen many of the animated shows with him in it but … does he realize Everyone and I mean pretty much most of the team hold back their powers a lot because he is literally just a kid still? i know he is an assassin, a child soldier who has killed people but do you think he knows people are hesitant to hurt him because he is a kid (he is after-all just an ignorant child he didn’t grow up with kids or a loving family and was forced to become a weapon) but does he know people see him as a kid and take advantage of that or does he really think he is untouchable because of his training, if he were really smart he would know that most of his team are highly unstable with their own powers and are a danger to themselves, does he not realize all he needs to really hurt most of his teammates is to make them lose control? what happened with blue beetle was something unexpected because he is a kid that didn’t think that beetle was unstable but any of the justice league members know that the titans are just as much a danger to themselves ( im just kinda ranting but its something thats been on my mind since i have been seeing damien in the animated series

Unpopular opinion here, but Blue Beatle not being able to control Scarab is much more scary than Edgy Damian. Scarab has more consequences to losing control than Damian. Damian just needs to mature and experience life in order to get on the right path. An issue of life experience if you will.
