A year ago I was crossing from Greece in my 2008 Beneteau 50, but I took the solo route rather than with a crew. I admit that the 4 weeks it took was lonely at times, but it was a life changing experience. I too have a KZfaq channel “Sailing Solo at 70”. The 70 is incorrect, I’m 72 now. Another wonderful episode….and a real challenge crossing the Atlantic. In our later years both my gorgeous long suffering wife and I are so fortunate to have had many adventures together and after 40 years of marriage still have a great time with the “remember when…” conversations. Even better, our children grew up in this environment and now as adults both really appreciate that and we believe, really helped them become the people they are….and in turn embrace the world. We still get very excited about a road trip….it never leaves you. Love the Predict Wind link….one of our fave apps. Fair winds and good speed.

Super video, we all hope you can produce as many as you can during the passage. The IG updates are hopefully easier and can give the daily update and then we can get the real snapshot of the weather. I’m only one of many that have been watching from the beginning. You two have become the closest thing to my social interwork family. Being one of your oldest member, it’s nice having the feeling of a proud parent. As we have our 25 year son that now is living and studying in Tokyo for the last nine months. absolutely gnarly storms guys- godspeed

On an RV fridge, they say to put a container of hot water in the fridge with towels on the bottom. When the towels get soaked from the melting ice, you remove them and wring them out and put them back in. This doesn't disturb any delicate parts in the fridge. I learned the hard way after I was chipping the ice off with a knife and stabbed one of the coils inside the fridge and lost all of the coolant.

Fast editing with that speed editor on your saloon table ;-) Great to see you guys cross, good vibe and energy! That will be a nice travel experience for you all! Stay safe and happy sailing!
