I’m bi-coastal (grandchildren, not a snowbird), and in 2020 I was trapped in Georgia for a year and my main house in the Santa Cruz Mountains was destroyed by the fire there in August (lost everything)… It was during that Covid lockdown that I discovered Expedition Evans and it literally saved me. I cannot begin to express how valuable this is for me. I’ve watched many sailing feeds on KZfaq, subscribe to a number of them, and this is BY FAR the best of every one I’ve seen! Perhaps it’s Brett’s piloting experience, Jade’s artistic talent, and their combined excitement and wonder over discovery and adventure, but the hook has been set and there’s no way I even want to be released! What an amazing find! ~G~

Loving the frequent videos. You are spot on for sure about your audience being able to travel virtually “On the journey” with you. Just wanted to express my sincere thanks for your commitment to keeping your channel family friendly and appropriate. We have a 13 year old and a 5 year old and this is one of the few things we can all watch together and everyone truly enjoys it. My boys have had their minds opened to life and the world outside of what they know. My 5 year old asks “is this real in this world?” as he learns what is real on tv and what is not. It is SO awesome to get to tell him yes! That ocean is real, those people are real and these are things you can REALLY do. Just wanted to share that you not only impact and inspire adults but another generation! 🙏❤️ love and God bless

THANK YOU GUYS - I'm watching this from a hotel bed in Greece where tomorrow I start to learn to sail... And that's all because of you - finding your videos has been massively inspirational. Back to the UK in July to put an ebay-buy 19' Seawych into the water and have some friends that know what they're doing show me the ropes. From there... who can say. I hope I love it as much as I love watching your videos...

Just comparing your experiences to mine from a long time ago. Wow things have changed! We get to see daily videos from you direct from the middle of the ocean - not something we'd even have imagined just a couple years ago. In the late 1970s, I sailed from California to Hawaii (round grip) with my dad on a 25 foot sailboat. We used a sextant and chronograph for navigation (no GPS or Loran). We had no real-time communication with the rest of the world, only occasionally getting through to some Ham radio relay that could forward a message. Our emergency communication consisted only of an EPIRB. We had no radar to see other boats, no weather data and no refrigeration. Our self steering was a homemade wind vane on an auxiliary rudder. But, I wouldn't change the experience for anything! Great memories. Wishing you a safe passage.

Did you do a meal plan before you sailed so you could ensure nutrition and “fun” meals throughout the crossing? 5. Do you have a video of your “history” together? Thanks

More questions (if you don’t mind) - do you guys have like a good luck charm on the boat? - what is the one thing that almost all other sailors have on their boats, but you guys have never used, or felt the need for? - do you wear specific jackets for cold weather that is also waterproof? Can you show them? I’m just curious (you do not need to show the brand) - what food items would you love to bring along on your journeys, but cannot because of the sea and salt (not sure if I’m expressing myself correctly) - do you have a time/incident where you felt super unsafe and afterwards felt like giving up and never sailing again? PS: I may have some more questions. I am 55, from South Africa and have extensively travelled the rest of Africa alone with my husband for the last 16 years. Bought a game farm 2 years ago and now living the journey through your vlog. I know absolutely nothing about sailing, but learning soooo much.
