I tell you something i all my life feeding my German shepherd raw meat and they live 16,17,18 years very healthy because of raw meat and i don't listen what vet said about raw food because i had a proof that dogs feeding raw meat its more healthy and live longer

I’d like to throw in my two cents. Don’t feel too much anxiety around perfectly balancing the diet. It does not have to be perfectly balanced each meal. We humans do not eat a perfectly balanced diet day to day. What is important, is balance over time. How do you accomplish this? The answer is variety and high quality, nutritious foods. I do however think that it’s very important that your dog gets raw meaty bones daily. Also, do be careful not to overfeed liver, as it’s very easily done. This is because of the risk of vitamin a toxicity. Fat soluble vitamins get stored in the body if consumed in excess, and do not get flushed out like water soluble vitamins. This can cause real damage. Anyway, do not sweat it too much. Learn as you go along. You don’t need to be an expert on day one.

Hey Jason, great video as always. Right before I watched this I watched a video on the animal watch channel all about Cane Corsos and it was a great history on them. They went to yorkshire, where specific corsos are bred strictly for working on the farm and there main job is too keep the rabbit population down so it was funny when you talked about catching a rabbit and feeding it as is bc I just watched these corsos do that on that animal watch channel. You should check the video out it was pretty cool and informative just like your channel.

Not all vets are against raw. Dr. Karen Becker is a veterinarian and she has 2 books on fresh food. Raw or even gently cooked chicken an expensive. Beef 90% fat free is expensive. I’m do feed fresh gently cooked with Dr. Harvery’s and 1/3 open farm kibble., it’s what I can afford. I will doing some the fresh recipes from the Forever Dog Life. I agree 5% liver.

I live next to lake Michigan and fish for salmon most of the summer i dont care for king or laker or steelies i only like coho my dog gets everything but coho fresh or i freeze about 50lbs a summer and i do boil just enough to kill the parasites that can be in salmon or trout. My worry is parasites. So far my new dog 7month old Corso is 90lbs of muscle beast with a soft baby brendel coat .

You are right about veterinarians and nutrition. People doctors don't know anything about nutrition either because they are not taught about it in medical school. I know because I am one. Now, if you want to know all about bagels, donuts and coffee, we're the ones to ask!!! 😁

I feel feed raw from a police dog trainer it includes organs as well. Yes the poop 💩 turns to dust . My trainer is also nutritionist she told me to fix my giants stomach problem with raw. I feed him high end kibbles but he didn’t get the nutrients and she introduced me to it

Big dog ia always expensive thing, we all shall think in advance before getting it . Row diet is the best food for a dog and my experience also supports the theory

I have been feeding Raw to my dogs and cats for over 20 years. I admit that I don’t pay much attention to the cooling and warming foods topic. and I feed chicken as part of a varied diet all the time. I have not had dogs with any issues. you have to find what works for your dogs. and you have to be realistic about a budget. Specially when you’re feeding some big dogs. A raw feeding co-op is a lifesaver if there’s one in your area. and depending on where you live if you will not find a vet that is pro raw. there are even veterinarians that refuse to see your animals if they are Raw, Fed. Just remember that big food and big Pharma are just as detrimental to our pets health as they are to our own.

Titan red and blue. Very close to the cost of premium dry food. I have 365# in two daniffs and they are excellent on Titan

hi @jasoncorey right now my cane corso is 7 months, but behave like 4months old puppy. I compared it to my rottweiler. he still zoomie quite frequently, also show no interest in working/training. is it normal? this is my first cane corso.

If I buy the pre-made raw mix, can / do I also add organs daily too? I’ve a 5 months old Cane Corso, Ronnie, who had diarrhea when I gave him chicken, so switching to the pre-made 80-10-10

Sad that sometimes vets are really in it for the financial gain and not really for what’s best for the dog. Feeding a raw diet is underrated really, but at the same time, I understand some ppl are on a budget, so good thing there’s some great kibble choices out there for your dogs that are healthier than most kibbles on the market

We are fortunate on a farm and raise ducks, rabbits, quail, turkey, pheasants, pigs, cows, rabbits and sheep.. Funny enough the majority we do this because of our six dogs. I've been feeding raw for over 20 years.... Every one of our dogs has outlived their expectancy.. AND yes VETS hate raw.. I just tell them I'm feeding a kibble to the dogs breed and smile when they state how healthy our dogs are...

There is no such thing as they are taught in school .. AS the industry would benefit $$$$ .. We love our vet.. HOWEVER we do not feed what they want us to feed.. I stick to my raw plan which has worked over 20 years and each and every dog outlives the normal life expectancy with very to little vet bills because of it... Much like the human food industry and medical field.. They want you to be sick... it creates a money industry.....

I tell people that a raw diet is not a cure all. It is not a guarantee. But it gives your dog the best chance of a long, healthy life.

Think of it this way. How healthy would you be if you ate nothing but hamburger helper for every single meal of your life. That’s the same as feeding your dog kibble. In fact, it’s probably better than feeding your dog kibble because at least you’re putting real hamburger in it. Can’t say that about kibble or canned.

The reason why chicken is one of the biggest allgins in dogs is because chicken is higher in omega 6s than omega 3s

Vets are against raw because they are sponsored by the pet food industry. I heard a vet say once corn was a high quality carbohydrate. Yeah, for a goat perhaps, not a carnivore.

Yes vets are against anything that will make them loose a customer from having a poor diet.

Just like people doctors don't want to loose a customer. That's what all those injections they push on people are for, so people come back with other issues that mysteriously appear after the above mentioned treatment pushed on people.😯
