RAW paddling edit from our 3 day kayak camping trip deep in the backcountry of Arkansas! The Ouachita Mountains are home to incredible rivers and streams. The region is undeveloped leaving rivers like this one in their ancient form.

I have now fallen asleep to this video 2 nights in a row, and finally made the time to watch it in its entirety while actually paying attention lolol. Its strange how quite a tough trip down the river can make for such a peaceful and relaxing video, yet here we are haha. It hardly needs to be said anymore with so many people agreeing and echoing the same sentiment, but you knock it out of the park every time man, great work.

@@GatewoodBrownglad to see you are trying to answer that call! Spring is more dependable but tracking the storms in the fall can really pay off. Less traffic, nice foliage. The contributing watershed is actually quite small, so it must be a pretty localized rain event. The lower is not bad, especially cool to converge with the white river. The regulars hold boxley/ponca in high regard as the premier spot.

The X-rays show no Broken bones but I have to get an MIR done to see what is wrong. This place looks beautiful and the water doesn't look deep as well. Is it a good place for beginners to kayak? And can you please shre the location or where you kayaked here? Thank you!

Unfortunately this is not good for beginners given the swift water rapids. However downstream below the damn could be a good option! Looks a little more tame and predictable down there

Dude I have so many questions. I love your content and have been inspired to use a lot of your style in my own. Your videos and style have truly been motivating. Can you do a Q&A sometime? Also I'm about to do the South Saskatchewan in October and I'm dreading it a little. Should be some low water there as well. I've done my fair share of shallow river trips and they are not always fun. We'll make the most of it though. It's all about the adventure, right? You should come up to Alberta Canada sometime man and we could plan a trip where I'll take you on a fossil hunting excursion on the St. Mary's or Red Deer river sometime (look up ammolite) ;) and then check out my Red Deer & St. Marys video. Lots of amazing scenery and geology. Paddle on,

Hello! Great video! I am a small Arkansas outdoors blog and YT channel and do a lot of kayak videos myself. I didn't catch the name of this river mentioned in the video. From the looks of it at the 12:00 minute mark, that looks a lot like the Winding Stairs section of the Little Missouri River. Was this from the Little MO? Also I'm gonna check out your dry duffels for my overnight trips. Thanks for sharing!

My dude I know exactly who you are! I watch your videos all the time because I love the content you post regarding Arkansas. Keep it up my man! You nailed the location, exactly where you thought. It is pretty unique and definitely stands out to the keen eye. I'd love to have you using the duffel on your home waters. Go ahead and cruise on over to the website and place an order on the house. Use code FIELDTESTING and I'll get one sent your way. So stoked you check out our Arkansas video! I would love to do more up there. It's a bit of a drive but so worth it.

oh and thanks so much for checking out my videos! I only knew the location on yours because I've hiked to Winding Stairs, but I've never floated that part of Little MO. I'm heading out now to float the Little Red below Greer's Ferry Dam.
