So with his perfect timing, the baby was dropped off, at this place, and at this time. @@sharris3480There are Safe Havens now to prevent this very thing from happening. A friend or family can take the baby and safely leave it, it doesn’t even have to be the mother. And these Safe Havens even have orange bags for care of the mother too. Without legal issues. The parents can then mail or email a form back, if they choose to, to send genetic health info that will go into the child’s file for future purposes like health issues etc.

I think about all of the couples trying everything to conceive a baby and fail, then there are people that do shit like this to a 100% defenseless, helpless baby! This pisses me off! Not to mention there are a multitude of LEGAL options for the parent or parents to do the right thing! Even if the mother was a very young girl whose pregnancy went unnoticed even by friends and family, she couldve remained anonymous and avoided serious charges! Never, ever hesitate to rescue a baby or child!!! Law enforcement is sensitive to your desire not to be "involved" beyond providing ingredients full statements. No one wants to hurt the Rescuer!! Only praise and love for ANY rescuer. If anything else ensues, you call your local TV station immediately!

This is absolutely heartbreaking news, thank god for the couple. I live in Harris county and its extremely hot right now with heat indexes feeling over 100 degrees. I hope they find the monster who abandoned that innocent baby.

Aren’t there “safe drop off” locations provided by law. Hospital ER, Fire Stations for example, no questions asked. There is NO EXCUSE for this. Investigate to see if criminal charges are appropriate. We must protect our children born and unborn. Pray for protection, wisdom and bless the child with a loving family.

Safe Haven Baby Box is a drop box located on the OUTSIDE of a hospital/fire station so to people afraid of confrontation, there is NONE. the drop box is an incubator to keep baby safe & warm. when the person opens the door, a silent alarm goes off that the door was opened. once the baby is placed in the box, a sensor sets off a 2nd alarm. once the person closes the door back up, a 3rd alarm goes out to dispatch. the person can just walk away. rescue workers would much rather have the chance to get the baby help than to confront & corner the person dropping the baby off. please get this info out to young people in your school, your church, a coworker.. anyone who might need some help. there are resources out there. it is heartbreaking & traumatizing to any person who has to make this choice but please don't do something that you can't take back & will have to live with a wrong/rash decision made during the middle of a crisis

The people who found the child saw a male walking away from the spot where the baby was at. They can give the police a description of him.
