Hey guys, today I am OFF MY GAME because it has been SO long since I've done a makeup video.. this was just a hot mess. Today I wanted to test out the Colourpop Stone Cold Fox Palette & brushes and see how I like it. Heres the thing, I like colourpop shadows, through and through I have never disliked one - so this is not so much a REVIEW as it is just me playing with the palette and doing the worlds most basic cool toned eye look. Enjoy this struggle.

Sorry if a million other people have already mentioned this, but the reason ColourPop changed the name of Smoke Show was because Coloured Raine also had a palette called "Smoke Show." ColourPop's actually came out first, but Coloured Raine had already copyrighted the name, so ColourPop had to change the name of theirs. I wanted to put this here in a comment because I was confused about the name change for the longest time, too.

mommy brain is legit its from the increased neuroplasticity that is occurring in your brain, your brain is erasing and making room for all the learning you will need to do for taking care of baby, learning everything about them, its a rare and amazing process that occurs only 3 times in brain that we are aware of, 1 after a stroke for the brain to relearn how to make the body work, 2 infant-around 4-5 years of age for children so they can learn everything, 3 in pregnant woman's brains and after birth for up to 2 years it remains or longer, the brain determines it, they have found now that with new father's they have it happen as well but not to the degree that you find in women. it's totally amazing!

Yeeeees. And with chemical exfoliators, you have to start small. Your skin will build up to where you can use the stronger stuff later. However I wouldn't recommend experimenting before having a baby with chemical exfoliators. Start with a basic gentle cleanser, a moisturizer, and a sunscreen, if you aren't using that yet. James has videos to help you get started and slowly build your skin care routine. And on another note, when I was pregnant I accidentally ate a whole roll of tums walking around Walmart because I had gas and was hungry. I feel you Kristi.

Nobody talks about how pretty crow's feet and smiles lines actually are. Signs of aging are... signs you're alive. Anywho if your skin is as upset at everything as mine is, then I recommend grapeseed oil (if pregnant people can have it I'm not sure) but it works wonders for me and is pretty cheap compared to expensive creams that made me break out

PREACH. 🙌🏻 Aging is NOT the tragedy everyone makes it out to be. I am only 25, but I have made a promise to myself that I will never beat myself up over aging- it’s inevitable, everyone experiences it eventually no matter what, and older women are still gorgeous and elegant. You don’t have to look 20 forever to feel good about yourself!

I second an oil. I have developed VERY sensitive skin and pretty much end up becoming allergic to anything I use after a time period. I recently switched to jajoba oil and I LITERALLY have the best skin I've ever had in my life at 34 years old. I use it during the day and night and to remove makeup and wash my face. The only other product I use is embryolisse last-creme concentre for extra moisture. Skin care is so person specific though its kind of take just testing things out.

@@whogreen992 it CAN be, like the CeraVe moisturizing lotion can be for face and body. Most body lotions can’t/shouldn’t be used on the face. The skin on the body usually has different needs than the skin on the face. An oil is okay but it’s an occlusive or emollient but not a humectant and humectants are what draws in moisture into the skin and does the heavy duty work as far as moisturizing goes that’s why a moisturizer is necessary for daily use.

When you’re starting out a skincare routine: -find a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen (this is a solid routine for newbies, plus it reduces the chances of getting irritation from multiple products) -CeraVe has a ton of great skincare products -during pregnancy: one brand to look into is Rovectin (think they sell it on YesStyle, but don’t quote me). They have great ingredients in their products that are generally safe while pregnant/breastfeeding. Don’t be pressured by all the 50-step routines especially if you’re not worried about smile lines and crow’s feet. 😇 Edit: Highly recommend the CeraVe healing ointment for lips at night and for applying to dry areas on face and body. The Vanilla and spearmint lip glosses (the ones in the tubes) by C.O. Bigelow (sold @ Bath and Body Works) brings a lot of relief to dry lips and has a cooling feel to it-they can get sticky though if you apply too much. Oh, and the Vanicream moisturizing lotion or cream (now that we’re entering winter) is a great moisturizer for face and body and is gentle for sensitive skin. Not sure what your skin type is so I hope these work for you. If not, good luck on this new avenue of health and beauty! ❤️❤️❤️

Skin care: go to a dermatologist or a facialist and ask for recommendations for your skin type. Also, when trying skin care, introduce things in slowly. Maybe start with a moisturizer, try it for a few days, find out if you like it. If you do, then add in a cleanser. It’s usually safe to stick with the same brand. Try that for a few days with your moisturizer. Continue that until you get the routine you’re after!

_I commented this a couple hours ago but I will repost it here in hopes Kristi sees it, since I think some of this might be helpful plus it reiterates what you said in a much longer TL;DR manner:_ Honestly, I would go to a dermatologist to get a diagnosis or use a Physician-grade brand like Striavectin which is Vegan, Cruelty-Free, tested on Sensitive/Reactive Skin and meets the EU Cosmetic Standards. Also, if you go onto Neostrata’s Instagram or Facebook page because Pat the nation instructor for Canada is AMAZING. In the United States, you can only get Neostrata at the Dermatologist-level - but her instructions are really informative, fun and easy to understand. You would use their Restore line, by the way. Anyways, Strivectin would be a good brand for you and no - you don’t need a million products because your skin literally grabs what you need and gets rid of what you don’t. (Don’t get me started on the amount of misinformation from beauty influencers... it is super maddening.) Strivectin has two lines that is good for 30+ skin - especially the Advanced Hydration line would be what I would put you on. But, I would definitely get a skin analysis because from watching your videos I would classify you as combination skin that is chronically dehydrated. Reason for that is because if you were a dry skin type - you wouldn’t produce oils in the t-zone which you happen to do with certain makeup products (the microscopic video of your skin, for example, it showed you had produced sebum in the t-zone area). A compromised skin barrier is going to cause a lot of moisture leaving AND skin sensitivities because it allows antigens and bad bacteria in, or photo-damage from UVA rays that penetrate both clouds and glass. UVA rays account for 95% of sun-damage and are more aggressive, which causes DNA damage to the keratinocytes of the basal layers - leading to discolouration, pre-mature aging, skin sensitivities and risk of skin cancer. Dermatologists recommend about a teaspoon amount for the face and neck - one application of sunscreen is good if you are in and out all day, but follow with reapplication after extended sun-exposure. You only need an SPF of 50 to get the best effectiveness and when buying a sunscreen it is more important to have a dermatologist approved UVA protectant. In the EU, the dermatologist brands can only advertise 50+ because it is actually a marketing tactic to say your product has 100 SPF because the measure of efficacy is so marginally small that it is... stupid. Another brand I would suggest is Avéne. It is my opinion that you go for good quality products that are more rigorously tested and brands that are Physician-grade, as well as coming out with better skin technologies (not just textures or means of application- like K-Beauty brands). A lot of dermatologists will recommend this brand and I know locally there is a dermatologist who gives prescriptions for their products to patients. Anyways, I hope you see this comment and that you seriously consider my advice! The brands I mentioned are brands I think you can use and not L’Oreal Paris brands. _Anyways, if you managed to get this far into my comment - I totally agree with you! It is a good idea to go to a dermatologist or place with a dermatologist on site. Another good place is somewhere where you have well-trained and helpful Beauty Advisors who will ask you tons of questions to get a customized routine for you. From my experience, where I work, we have some of the best and recognized training in comparison to other beauty stores. This includes actual dermatologist lead training about the biology of the skin and skin conditions. It makes it so we can help find a good routine to meet your skincare concerns - including finding a consolidated routine. This makes it much more reliable rather than listening to beauty influencers IMHO because you at least know that the people handling you are trained to specifically find you the right routine and hopefully, if they are good, they will do this with a salesperson agenda (although we always have goals to meet - it is important to get the right product AND ADVICE AND INFORMATION to help you be an informed shopper)._

Paula’s Choice has a “routine finder” that will give you a whole routine, Curology has a quiz to choose your routine for you, and The Ordinary has routine guides on their website. Those can give you an idea of where to start even if you end up using another brand. I watch a lot of skincare videos- it’s basically use a gentle cleanser (double cleanse with an oil cleanser first to remove makeup if needed), choose a serum you like, then use a moisturizer-night/moisturizer with SPF-day. The end.

I’m a licensed esthetician and here are the basics you definitely need. I would stick with one line because the products are meant to be used together and for skincare that helps with avoiding chemical reactions. 1.) you need a cleanser suitable to your skin type (I recommend hydrating because everyone needs a chemical exfoliant and hydrating cleanser helps not dry your skin out in the peeling phase) 2.) toner 3.) exfoliant (I prefer a physical exfoliant) 4.) hydrator 5.) ONLY AT NIGHT (start 3 days a week to acclimate) is a retinol. I would start with a 0.5 or 0.25 retinol and only do it 3 nights a week. Your skin actually will adjust and you will stop peeling, but what the retinol does and is turn over your skin faster. Basically sloughing off the dead skin faster then your bodies natural cycle which actually gets longer as we age. But the skin is smart is wont peel forever it will adjust to the retinol and before you know it you’ll be able to use your retinol every night and then you can bump up to a higher strength. Keeping your skin turning over quick gets rid of fine lines, bring blood circulation to the skin so it helps with dark circles and plumpness. Hopefully this was helpful!

You probably won’t see this but I just wanted to share my simple skincare routine, if I may: You already have really great skin, so you can keep your skincare routine really, really simple: 1.remove makeup with an oil cleanser or emulsifying balm. 2.double cleanse: use a simple cleanser for dry skin like cerave dry skin cleanser. I also use a konjac sponge which is a fantastic, natural sponge for the face which exfoliates without damaging or irritating your skin, and is environmentally friendly too. 3. If you’re worried about texture use niacinamide, like the 10 % niacinamide from the ordinary day and night. 4. Moisturise with a moisturiser that contains ceramides like Cerave PM lotion or cerave in the tub. Stay away from any harsh acids or stripping cleansers if you have sensitive skin. Most important of all- Use a sunscreen! This routine should keep your skin looking amazing and if you do feel you want to add an AHA or a serum keep it to one or two times a week. Also your pigmentation could be hormonal due to pregnancy. In my case it faded post partum. Don’t sweat that too much, our bodies go a bit crazy when we go through pregnancy.

The “sun spots” are most likely Melasma. I got it with my first pregnancy and I thought they were sun spots. It is very common in pregnant women. Sometimes it goes away and sometimes it doesn’t.
