Here's Ray's classic music video for "Dudley Dorite (Of The Highway Patrol)" which was featured on his 1986 album "Surely You Joust"! This music video was made years later as a part of Ray's 1995 feature film "Get Serious!". You might recognize Buddy Kalb playing Dudley in the video and he also wrote the song for Ray. Check it out and have a laugh!

Had my encounter with one here in Colorado. Best part was the next week, the CHP had that same trooper pulled over for speeding....at the same speed trap he'd caught me in. Instant karma!

First time Ray Stevens song I ever heard was The Streak followed by The Shriners Convention, and Ahab the Arab on the 100 watt AM station (Actually it was 1,000 watts but what’s a zero among friends) while riding in my mama’s car laughing while we listen going down the road

The Streak was the first song I ever heard of Ray Stevens in 76. We requested it all the time as kids. WGCR radio out of Wellsboro, Mansfield PA. Of course they are long gone, syndicate radio is in control of what is aired now Ray to me is a lot like Cash never heard a song from either man I didn't like.

Heddy St George Why the hell would a teacher from back in the 70s allow a student to play a record labeled "The Streak" in the first place? From Mrs Newton (1st) to Mr Paxton (5th), If our class was lucky enough to have its own player outside the library, had that shit on lockdown! That all phased out after 5th grade because of the music cassette. That brought back a lot of memories i hadn't thought about in decades. Thanks

When he’s not in Branson he lives about 10 miles from me near Douglasville Ga. across from Travis Tritt. He never had a serious thought and never will!!
