Yes we noticed the plates, Paul is from Alberta where this was shot. Alberta does in fact have a Sheriff highway patrol unit from the Solicitor General. Most highways in Alberta are mostly patrolled by the RCMP however if you look at the police crest on the side of the car it is the Alberta Sheriffs Highway patrol crest.

When I was young and foolish I used to laugh when a cop would ask if I knew how fast I was going. One cop said "of course you don't know because your speedometer only goes to 120 miles per hour and you were well over that." OOPS

I like this song a lot. Junior Brown had it back in 1995. I don't know when Paul Brandt had it, but I think he did it better than Junior Brown did. This is country music at its finest!

Western Canada is featured in quite a few of Paul's videos - he's a real hometown boy here. I had to laugh when I saw the patrol cars. They're genuine Province of Alberta Sheriff's Dept. cars, and what was even funnier was that by some totally weird coincidence I had three of those Sheriffs in a firearms safety course I was teaching not too long before that video was made. Boy, that's a while ago now.

This song speaks about my uncle. He's a retired Georgia State Patrol officer. He worked for the Georgia State Patrol for 30 years. 1970 - 2000 He retired at age 54.

I listen to to this song today just driving on the road and a state patrol car drove by me when Paul would say highway patrol. It was spat on at the time and I actually chuckled a bit wish I had my dash running at the time. Maybe tomorrow I will try it out.

Town I grew up in had red police cars at one time. The NYSP had Mustangs and Camaros at one time, the CHP had Mustangs at one time too. The Shelby wouldn't surprise me in the least either.
