I could watch Lisa Raymond hit volleys all day. She was such a natural at the net. Her doubles career was legendary but I can't help but feel she should have got into the double-digit slam count.

I don't have that match yet because of delays, but even if I did, I would not post it yet because I decided to devote August and early September to celebrating Elena and her wins during the US Open series and the US Open. My God was Elena clueless at the net! She had no idea what she was doing most of the time, she could have poached at least half of Raymond's returns. She didn't cover Penetta when she was behind her, just an overall mess of a match. Raymond made all of them look like amateurs tbh, even Stosur. But at least they had fun, reaching the finals was more than Elena and Flavia could have hoped for. Imagine the irony if Elena's only grand slam was a doubles title?!?

I can believe it...with a better partner than Pennetta I could see Elena sneaking a a major doubles title, many worse players have major titles in doubles than her, so why not?

Omg I watched this match again a few months ago. Poor Elena was useless 🥴. You happen to have any other doubles matches??

Hi Casey, doubles is not something I have ever really explored. The only other doubles match I have now which I will post at some point is the 03 Wimbledon women's doubles final. I think it was Clijsters first grand slam victory?

@@chriscze6153 I like Williams doubles lol. But still looking for a few non Williams that I can’t find. Like 2006 RG, 2003 RG which was Kim/Ai beating VRP/Suarez in an epic.
