Pretty funny how you brought up your event Metagross. I never played Black/White so I asked my gf to get it for me this Christmas. I booted it up and noticed that the person kept their save file. Decided to check the PC instead of starting a new game and sure enough it’s full of event Pokemon from 2011-2013… including your shiny Metagross. Absolute goldmine of a find. I was so hyped lol.

Fun fact about Tera Shell: Every hit of multi-hit attacks is not-very-effective I experimented with using Terapagos, and the best way I found to use it was with allies like Sinistcha keeping Tera Shell intact so I can keep clicking Calm Mind

Mostly agree with the list but having Serperior and Porygon Z in D feels a little harsh. Serperior is pretty fast and contrary leaf storm with any coverage you want thanks to tera is at least deserving of consideration on some teams. Porygon Z is a little more limited but adaptability on a mon with a SpA stat that high can’t be overlooked. It’ll require support but if you ever let that mon hit you you’re in trouble

I think my only gripe is the Electivire take. Maybe lower C Tier instead. It gets Bulk Up this gen and can properly use its physical Atk thanks to Clear Amulet. Has decent coverage in elemental punches, the new Supercell Slam, Knock Off and Cross Chop. Can Tera Water to make it only weak to Grass thanks to Motor Drive, along with Spe boosting from it.

I had to watch all the way through to make sure it wasn’t my imagination, did you forget about booster energy? It really helps both of the new future paradoxes actually use their ability, especially speed booster

I think with or without a sun team gouging fire has way too many capabilities to be B tier, it’s probably the one other than arcanine you would use as a second fire type on the team

I have a question regarding your analysis of Terapagos. I am maybe misunderstood, but does the game require Terapagos to use Stellar Tera to change to its ultimate form ? From what i understood previously, it only required to Terastalize. If so, that would completely change the power level of that Pokemon in restricted formats, with Normal Tera, the starstorm would become quite a thing to consider.

I want to ask about some of the D tier: Blastoise and Lapras were carried by their Gmax moves, so fair enough, likewise Regirock, and just max moves. Regigigas has a new viable friend with doodle and weezing is around, no possibility of it subbing in those no ability teams, specially with the fix to neutralizing gas actually impacting the paradox abilities? Porygon Z and Kingdra as attackers, no chance? Are they that outclassed? Serperior and contrarian? Finally Alcremie and Comfey as support options, they managed to work on gen 8 formats, why not now? Extra bonus for my peep Galvantula, if Regieleki can't cut it, and Flutter Mane/Iron Bundle do the speed control thing better, no chance for it.

I’ve been running Throat Spray, Liquid Voice Primarina with Hyper Voice, Ice Beam, Moonblast, and Protect. Building it pretty physically bulky and it’s been walking Urshifu which I think is still the biggest threat in the game

Meloetta is not the first Mythical catchable in a mainline game. SwSh Crown Tundra gave us Keldeo. And while not catchable, Magearna was given as a gift in via qr code scan in SM.

I thought burning bulwark on Smeargle was a great idea until I discovered that it only blocks attacks and not status moves like taunt or spore. Quickly ran back to spiky shield!

the 1.5 boost on tera starstorm is not only on that move its on all its attacking moves it wont lose the boost at all. so its just a tera killer lol

I disagree with Latios in C. With LO and Stellar TT he deserves to be in A or top B, considering Luster Purge also got 95 Base Power that also lowers Sp. Def 50% of the time, which will cause your opponent to think twice before risking a OHKO from Draco at -1 Sp.Def, also has Aura Sphere and Shadow Ball to deal with Kingambit and Gholdengo, and the always useful Tailwind.

I do think kingdra should be in B , he is a really good rain mon, I do agree entie is really good

IMO you put quite a few pokemon in D tier that really shouldn't be there. Comfey is a great support option, regigas with weezing and double edge does big damage, kingdra has been power crept but it's not *that* bad, serperior is a solid mon with contrary, and porygon z can also be pretty decent (to name a few). I'm not saying any of these are urshifu levels of good, but they don't deserve the title of "do not use"

9:45 Iron Hands gets Earthquake, which is probably the best button to press against Gouging Fire anyways. Not sure how common EQ on Hands is in VGC but it's pretty common in singles.

You are also sleeping on stellar serperior, the power of comfey, and alcreamie support.

I love how Incineroar just invalidates 3/4 of the returning Pokemon because it's Incineroar. It would be such a more interesting format to play and watch if they just banned it.
