My path was the same as you described. G502 lightspeed and Viper ultimate. After months of the dual mouse setup i went for the basilisk and i am glad i did. Yep, super convenient to leave charging the one not in unse while using the other one. Quality of life plus!

You know what, I'm a fan of multi-mouse setups. I've been running the Viper Ultimate as my main and I play a wide variety of games. FPS, RTS, MMO's, ect...I wouldn't mind having the Basilisk Ultimate as a general purpose mouse or something to play RTS games with, I usually remap the sniper button to a Push-to-talk key on mice that have it anyway. If they come out with a charging dock Focus+ Hyperspeed wireless Naga for my MMO addiction though that'd be *amazing*.

I honestly really like the hyper scroll. Really nice for web browsing. Using the g502 for a good 4 years and counting. What im thinking about for the future is to get a model o and then when my g502 breaks to maybe get a g502 lightspeed

I know this is an old video, but I am slowly going through all your older content :D Since the pandemic hit, I have been working from home and using one work area with all my peripherals on a KVM to go between my gaming PC and my work laptop. I had been maining a Razer Viper OG (XX1931) and I was using that for a while for both work and play. I decided that the Viper did not make the best mouse for long work days (not awful, but not great). So a couple months ago I started a mouse hunt that is just now coming to an end. I tried out the Basilisk Ultimate and it was pretty good! I just couldn't find a good grip on it, so ultimately it was not as comfortable as I was hoping from an ergo mouse. Fast forward about a dozen mice and I have settled on a three mouse solution: 1) Deathadder V2 Pro for work and sometimes play (very comfy) 2) Razer Viper Ultimate for FPS (light and fast) 3) Logitech G600 for MMO (extra weights removed, Corepads skates, and 28 macros at my fingertips, just need a paracord!). Let me tell you, that charging dock is a game changer! If something like a Naga X Pro existed that was wireless, had a dedicated Hyper-Shift key under my ring finger, left and right scroll, extra 'DPI' button, no removable side panels (extra weight) and was maybe around 85-95 grams, I think that would replace my G600. If for no other reason than I could use it with the dock too and not worry about the wire. Your videos are always something I look forward to. Thanks for all you do! Keep it up :D

i’ve been waiting for a wireless basilisk for so long!!!

SO i had the Deathadder Destiny 2 edition (along with the mechamembrane KB) but when they announced the Huntsman TE and the Viper i went all in and got both.IM A STAN for Razer now(also thanksto your reviews) i really wanna get both Ultimates. I LOVE the Viper for FPS but the chunkiness of the deathadder just felt right to me. The size of the Viper is my only issue. just need to get used to it. With that said i def wanna cop the basilisk ultimate bc of the chunk. Perhaps for productiviy or normal browsing but for gamin im def going Viper ultimate.

Just copped it at great price during a sale. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Going from a wired Naga Chroma, for MMO + FPS multi-use, to the basilisk ultimate for FPS has been a night and day difference. I love it. I think the viper would be -TOO- light. I've been using the big burtha naga (135g+) for years. The Basilisk ultimate was a fantastic upgrade. 107g. Feels light & buttery. Scroll wheel resistance adjuster is amaze. Sniper button is a perfect fit. I'd take Synapse over the Epic launcher.

I personally use and love the basilisk. (primarily play fps games siege, apex and the new cod) when they came out with the viper ultimate I was really hoping they would do the same for the basilisk. I'm very happy they chose to and without a doubt I'll be buying one.

I've been maining the viper ultimate for a few days at around 1k dpi as well. It's a solid mouse.

Yeah, this mouse is good but honestly, they should’ve gone for a wireless refresh of the deathadder elite. It’s more popular and is a staple from them. I also think they should release a newer Huntsman like the huntsman ultimate. It could be like a wireless version of the huntsman tournament edition. Great review though Brian! I mained a Basilisk before the Viper and find it would be hard to switch. The viper looks sleek too.

Really want to see a Razer Naga Trinity Ultimate. Like to use that mouse for MMO's and such and just like the larger size, personally. Was using the G Pro wireless and now the Viper Ultimate which both are very nice but just a tad small. Really like that finger rest on a mouse for the ring finger. Been a little weird getting used to not having the rest even though I've been without it for quite a while.

Just bought the old basilisk to replace my g502. Probs going to need to return it so I can get this!

I just exchanged my 502 for a basilisk. I love the basilisk. I finger tip with 7.5 in length and 4.5 width. The 502 would always slip during fps games Because it was too heavy and there is no lip in the right side. The basilisk has a way nicer thumb rest and it lifts without and problems

So are they doing this to every mouse now? Cause if so then Ill wait for the naga trinity ultimate

This is pretty dope because I liked the feel of the original Basilisk in my hand over the G502 when i was at Best Buy a while back. This new Basilisk looks like they added a finger groove in the right mouse button. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall the original Basilisk having that. For this asking price though, this damn thing better last 4-5 years. Razer desperately needs to up their QC and warranty department. 2 years just doesn't justify such a hefty price....but I'd probably still grab it because it's a great ergo shape and that new sensor have me drooling. 650 IPS....woo boy.

In your opinion is this worth the upgrade over the wired basilisk given the massive price difference. I mean I know all the differences but in the hand the og still feels so nice and with a paracord and ptfe feet it’s like ugh I want the ultimate but I kind of don’t lol. As dumb as it sounds I really like the old grip also. I just keep debating if I need to get this since it’s so so nice.

This is going to sound weird but I use tape to clean the side grips of my Mamba Wireless. I haven't had any complaints but I'm looking for a charging dock / mouse and this seems to be the one. Thanks so much for the fantastic review!

One question: I'm still using the Orbweaver Chroma which only support by the older razer synapse.If I get this one,which I assume will be using the new synapse,will it be problems/bug when I have to run two different synapse at the same time?

I think the shake test where the scroll wheel sounds quite on the RB but rattling on the G502 but i have seen other reviews showing the Razer Bas scroll rattles too. So quality control not a thing. Side note i love how all YTUBERS now asl us questions at the end of a video like we really dont know why they do it, the moment you start commenting on there YT channel YT algorithm keeps recommending the channel. I get it and all the best to them but getting a little old now

ive been using a basilisk since launch, it broke after a year, so i got another. is this worth it? the clicks are kinda off on the og basilisk, and theres a LOT of rattle, so im looking to upgrade.

i bought this mouse about 10 months ago, absolutely LOVED it even for fps. I honestly don't think that weight matters much when you have the high qulaity ptfe feet like this one. however i may be getting a different mouse soon as the scroll wheel sometimes doesn't regiester a click until the NEXT one, and then it double actuates. getting pretty annoying, and since i use the scroll wheel to change weapons i can't be having that happen

i just got the basilisk ultimate and the dock lighting issue seems to be fixed, the only problem i have is that the audio reactivity is kinda goofy, and doesn't advertise that it's volume based

I hope they will make a small mouse like the abyssus but lightweight and with a quality like the newest ones

Seriously considering a Razer mouse, the light and hole free Viper, to replace my Zowie EC-2a. That says a lot about their current direction, I remember the $50 Abyssus back in 2014 that had _no_ side buttons, along with a series of products that i considered overpriced jokes from that era. The Basilisk isn't for me, but glad it exists, we're willing to pay premiums if the substance is there.

I just got it for 60 euro with the dock from amazon nl. Cant wait for it to come in.

What mouse pad have you settled on?

I really wanted to hate Razer products, as they had the title & look of a over priced gimmick. But, my 4 yr old G502 finally was wore out. My 1st ever mouse, I had a love for it. Went to Walmart to pick up a new one. But they was sold out. So, I grabbed the basilisk V1. Since it was the only thing that resembled the G502. I went ahead & ordered a G502 from Amazon, excepting just use the basilisk over the weekend & return it to get my money back. Just needed something to hold me over & game with the boys. Plot twist, I fell in love with it & never looked back. I have been maining this mouse for almost a yr now!

did you try asus rog chakram? what do you think compare to Basilisk
