I really wanted this monitor, but all of my hardware vendors (CDW, SHI, Insight) said it’s backordered until Q4 because of global market preference. So I just went with the Alienware.

The zowie monitors have pretty bad clouding / haze on top of looking washed out and yellow too. They have low quality control these days. On top of that, a lot of their TN panels are outputting different color and brightness slightly, so sometimes their monitors aren't even made equal.

I got it because I figure it’s the best OLED at the moment, even though it’s over priced. 4k 480 hz will be what I go to next, but that’s probably 2 GPU/CPU upgrades away anyway so I got time. Until then I think this monitor will still not be my bottleneck. That 480 hz 1080p mode with games that can push 300+ fps it is on another level.

What is the difference between ULX and ULX pro?

This keyboard is so bad. I had a $60 aula f75 and had milky yellows in the aula, oil kings in the blackwidow. This “thocky keyboard” made the oil kings sound like cheap blue clicky switches. They stuffed some foam and tape, over tightening everything and they made the most stiff clicky sounding keyboard. The aula f75 for $60 had much deeper popping typing experience

I think I'm the most unlucky guy ever. I bought 3 Nova Pro Wireless this month (May 2024). ALL of them had issues with the DAC shutting down after inserting the battery to charge, and not turning on anymore. The first one broke in 6 days, the second in less than a minute and the third in a day. I asked for refund every single time. After 3x I think this headset is really not for me... Some condiderations for the time I used it: -ANC is garbage, I wanted it because I set my PC fans to the max speed during intensive gaming, and it can be really annoying. I really didn't notice much difference from this headset with ANC compared to my Astro A50 withou any noise cancelation. I have a SONY headphone with way better ANC. Even my Jabra earbud has better ANC. - Sound quality is good, not something out of this world, but good. - Accessibility is pure crap. The navigation via DAC is horrible. It would be much better if they had an android/iphone app to handle it. The buttons on the headset are confusing and not intuitive. - It doesn't allow to adjust the volume via the master volume on windows using the keyboard volume wheel. That's a huge miss imo, I use the xbox bar and the volume wheel a lot, so it's really annoying to be forced to use their DAC.

why they didn't just scaled it properly? Can You maybe do custom resolution for this 24.5 inch mode and check if there is any resolution that will look sharper with 480hz in 24.5 mode? You can use CRU ot just driver panel.

Just got one of these along with a M65 ultra RGB wireless mouse in a deal on Amazon. Looking forward to pairing them up with my laptop for my cabin at sea. Hopefully I’ll be able to pair them both up through the slipstream dongle that came with the mouse. Time will tell as they’ve just arrived. 😊

I'll probably wait and see if anyone will make 40in 5k Ultrawide (5120x2160) 144hz which can do 1:1 pixel 2560x1440 360hz (21in?) for productivity and gaming. Otherwise a more affordable 2k 240Hz Ultrawide with option for 1:1 1080p 480hz mode will also be good enough.

I know this is late... but I'm looking at stepping up from my Sony WH-1000XM3s that I've had forever. I was looking at the HIFIMAN 5XX on drop, but I always hear that the DT1990 is where its at. I don't want to put almost $600 into headphones because then I have to get a really basic Amp/Dac. I was looking at getting the SMSL SH-9 & SU-6 with the HIFIMANs thoughts?

From my experience any time you have a panel made for 4k and run lower resolutions on them it always looks worse than a panel intended for that resolution. Like i bet if you run the monitor in 4k but then in game set it to 1080 youll probably get the same results. Great video as usual though and that face smash at 3:25 is gonna be my new wallpaper 😂😂 keep up the great work brother!
