Fun fact: DeathStalker is hot swappable with all of the Gateron low profile optical switches, too.

Great review, thank you. But with respect it's very difficult to listen when every final word of each sentence is heavily dramaticised. Hope this is seen for what it is, constructive criticism. I think your attention to the finer details is great and should be appreciated. Cheers.

I have both the G915 full size and the Deathstalker Pro TKL. I'm not a gamer, I use these as productivity keyboards so that's the perspective I'm coming from. I went with the clicky keys in both boards as I prefer those for typing. For working in low light the Deathstalker is definitely better because the secondary functions (&^$%#) etc are etched so the light shines through the keycaps on the Deathstalker. Not so on the G915 which is annoying. I have to keep a desk lamp on when using the G915 so I can see the printed secondary functions. I bought the G915 first and really like it overall, but a couple of things bugged me. That thing I mentioned above but also the software. For some unfathomable reason, the Logitech G-Hub software won't let you reassign the F-Keys on the full size G915 it will only let you assign macros to the 5 G-Keys on the left edge, but on the G915 TKL you can assign macros to all 12 F-Keys. WFT Logitech!? So, I bought the Dealthstalker Pro TKL so I could get all of the F-key reassigned with Macros and have light shining through the secondary functions. Speaking of software...I'm not impressed with Synapse software for Razer. I have a powerful business laptop and Synapse runs soooooo slow. Click on the macro module....wait.....create a macro, oops need to edit... pause the recoding....wait for it....fix the mistake..... hit the bind key button..............wait....... oh my God it's like downloading high res photos on an old dial-up modem slow. If you're old enough to remember that, you know how painful it is to wait and wait and wait for your computer to do what you told it to. Overall I think the Razer keyboard is better, but the Logitech G-Hub makes creating and assigning Macros much more intuitive. If they would just not cripple the G915 full size. Come on Logitech! There is no comprehensible reason you don't allow to reassign all of the F-Keys on that, plus the proprietary keycap mounts. Just stupid.

Unfortunately in the end I had to return the Razer. Dealthstalker Pro TKL. The problem was that a software update broke my ability to use the Razer Synapse software to program the keyboard(lighting AND macros). The Synapse software must always be able to stay connected to the Razer servers over the internet. As I said in my initial review I use these keyboards for productivity and my computer is controlled by my employers I.T. Dept. If you don't have the administrator rights on your computer to completely disable your firewall, VPN and anti-virus then you should not get any Razer product. You will probably not be able to get the Synapse software to run. If you do have complete control over your computer, then go for it. After spending over 40 hours actively trying to get the Synapse software to work with multiple sessions with Razer tech-support I finally threw in the towel. To the Razer corporations credit, they did allow me to return the product for a refund even though I was slightly out of the 30 day return period. They turned was would have been a very negative customer experience into a positive one. I replaced it with a Logitech G915 TKL and that has worked flawlessly and I can assign macros to all 12 F-keys.

I have both too, and am trying to decide between the two (G915 tactile, and razer linear), and the G715 which is full size linear keys. I'm really struggling to decide. The Razer keys feel a bit mushy to me, but I still like most other features of it better. The G915 has more wobbly keys which is a downside. Also I will keep the G Pro Mouse if i keep a logitech, or the viper ultimate if I keep the Razer

He mentions that the razor takes a couple of second to turn back on when it goes into sleep mode, did you notice that? Also do you have to re-press the key you pressed to wake it up or does it register that key press?

@@henryskalitz9094 , yes I did notice that once it went to sleep you had to "wake" it by hitting any key, then the lights came on but it would not register that wake-up keystroke.

I’m actually torn between these two but one feature actually stand out, and that’s the hotswap option of DSV2 Pro. With that price point, you should have the option to replace a broken switch. Well Logitech should have at least lowered the price considering it’s a 3yr old tech which is actually ahead of its time.

I mean.... Those Media Keys also present in Deathstalker V2 Pro ... its easy to use aswell .. I know its not single button per function but still , it works

One factor that was not mentioned is aesthetics. I personally feel that this single-handedly gives the g915 the upper hand. The brushed metal looks sooo nice and the rgb Logitech logo adds something to the overall package.

Great Video !!! I have the Clicky G915 and is great but I dont know how good it will be for Competitive Gaming , Would you Recommend me o get a Different Board ?

It should be just fine for gaming. I think the Deathstalker is better in some ways for gaming but don't feel like you have to switch over.

Hiya! I read somewhere that the DS2 TKL cannot be used if it is charging. Is that statement true? If so, that would be a total deal breaker to me! Btw, nice video and comparison! I am currently using the G915 TKL White and I do love it! But the DS2 TKL seems more silent, something that I love! Subbed!

I'm charging it on the cable while typing this right now. It's only bluetooth that cannot be used while charging but who uses bluetooth for keyboards?. I bought both G915 TKL linear and tactile, and this DS2 TKL Linear. Returned both G915 TKL. This DS2 TKL is wayyy better than G915. More solid and silent but a tactile feeling.

@@andrew-zs2nx Yeah I can confirm that too! I just received my DS2 TKL today and it works fine with the USB cable. Compared to the G915 TKL Tactile, I truly love the DS2 Linear way more. The typing is excellent and more silent than the G915. They're both great keyboards but the DS2 do have an edge vs G915.

@@Cagefighter i havent had any problems with it. My set up is windows 11 ryzen 9 with rtx 2060. It just takes about 20 seconds to sync on startup

you can use it while charging, only the the bluetooth is disabled at that time

DeathStalker - overall better. Battery life is less, but that's also because optical switches requires more power I hear

Although I really like the g915 media keys, the fact that the secondary keys do not light up are a huge downside. When you the put the rgb brightness up, you can’t see the secondary keys. And when you turn off the rgb, the normal keys are impossible to see as they are transparent. Stupid design to not make them both transparent

Lies the secondary keys do light up and you can see the keys if you just turn up white light if you dont like rgb

@@Heavnelydemon 6:11 they clearly don’t light up what are you talking about, and one of the selling points of these keyboards are their rgb, who’s gonna buy a 200 keyboard for a white that looks yellow
